So, I can understand you coming back for this, Lizzie.
I turned to the dark side.
I'm alive.
What?
Oh my god.
Wrong franchise.
But you've died, like, multiple times.
I've seen it happen.
Yeah, I do.
Explain yourself.
I don't know.
I mean, it's just something I'm super skilled at, and...
That's not what I meant.
I meant...
Oh, I see what you mean.
Yeah, very good.
What vision are we seeing in this?
What incarnate...
Like, how's Vision doing considering he's been killed a number of times?
Oh, well, through the genius of Marvel and Kevin Feige, there's an answer to that.
But it's not one that I can give you.
But it's one that you will learn when you watch our show.
Did the answer surprise you?
I don't think that myself or Lizzie have ever been more surprised when Kevin pitched the
idea to us.
It was...
I thought...
A in one, I thought I was being brought in to be fired.
B in two, I thought they were going to let me down, you know, like, listen, Paul.
Kindly.
We brought you in.
Love you, Buck.
And instead, what he did was pitch this idea for a sort of six-hour movie that I would
never in a million years, which is why he's the one earning the really big bucks, have
thought of.
And it's so avant-garde and weird and messed up, and then moves seamlessly into more familiar
territory.
But the place that it starts is so odd.
I'm so excited.
We get to play around with, like, a totally different genre with these characters that
we have based in reality here on this planet Earth, where it could also be exploded by
aliens all the time or whatever, that reality.
And we've based it there.
And now we get to morph them into a sitcom universe and get to be stylized.
We get to play around as actors, we get to play around with time period.
Like it's just going to be a wild ride.
And then it's going to morph back into the familiar world that we know of Marvel.
It's going to be a mash-up.
Maybe not morph.
You always say, in these situations, you always say, we're really excited.
But I'm genuinely blown away.
As the scripts come in, they're just, the work is so extraordinary.
I've never heard Paul Bettany not have notes.
Yeah, that's true.
And I didn't have it.
This is perfect.
This is good.
It was so embarrassing.
We had a note session, and you're supposed to have clever things to say about what you
think should maybe change in the script, and I went, and there's really nothing.
So good.
I'm glad we're all on the phone now.
Last thing for you.
We're going to see you in the Doctor Strange sequel.
So do you know much about what role, obviously I'm not expecting spoilers, but does this
dovetail into that story?
Yes.
Yes, it does.
But I don't.
I think they're writing that right now, but I don't really know much about it.
That's intriguing to hang with Benedict for a bit.
That's always good.
I'm really excited.
I've never really gotten to work with him except for one shot where he was landing,
and I was shooting something, and that was it.
And we did that for six hours one day together.
Show me how it looks.
One more time, slow-mo.
He's landing, doing his thing, and then I was shooting something off a rock.
Again, why she gets the big bucks.
You guys, it's complicated.
He was flying, I was bouncing on a big rock.
It was hard.
It's harder than it looks.
So hard.
