Chinese Traditional Story: Bao Zidu’s High Morals

Bao Xuan, courtesy name Zidu was a minister of the Western Han Dynasty. He was born in a farmer’s family and loved to study since he was a child. Later, because of his profound knowledge and noble character, he was promoted to the position of counselor in the early time of Emperor Ai of Han.One day, he went to the capital on official business. On the way he saw a young scholar walking alone, who suddenly seemed to have a heart attack and collapsed. Zidu immediately jumped out of his carriage and tried to help him.
