I saw, with my eyes closed, a powerful white disc came through the glass doors and hovered over me.
Hello, I'm Betty Kovach. I have written two books. The first one is The Miracle of Death,
There is Nothing but Life, and that is based on my and my husband's experiences after the death
of my mother and our only son, who was 20 years old. And then later, alone, my husband also
was killed. All three in a car accident within a three-year period. But after our son's death,
my husband, Ishwan, and I had many, many experiences with him. And so the book is based
on the recordings of those experiences that we had with him over more than two years. And so I
talk about that later. The other book is Merchants of Light, The Consciousness that
is Changing the World. So after I had so many of these experiences, I wanted to go back and look
at our ancestors and see what their experiences were. And of course, I discovered so much. I
discovered cultures that are really the roots of Western civilization, which we didn't know
that we had a mystical and shamanic scientific background. It was Christian and Protestant,
and I was amazed with the stories of Jesus and an ethical, beautiful, loving person.
But as I grew older, I realized I couldn't believe the religion. I really wanted my own experience.
And I did go to a Christian college, and I studied everything I could find, always asking the
question, is there life after this? Or what is this life all about? Still those same questions
that my brother and I had as children. So then I decided, well, I'll study religion. I did that.
And then after that, I thought, well, I must study ritual and myth. And I taught that
in college for many, many years. And that was a wonderful time because it was in the 60s,
and later too. But that was a time when students were asking so many questions, just like today.
It was part of the awakening that's going on now, I think. So we had a wonderful time
discovering, by reading other people's stories, their myths, which were really
their religion, you might say, but it was their spiritual tradition. So that was a wonderful time.
But then after that, I thought, I will study shamanism. And so I went to South America twice.
And then when I came home, I worked with many shamanic methods alone. And then,
or with, well, my husband wasn't involved until our son died, because he hadn't been interested
in it really. But just before our son was killed in the accident, he saw it in a vision. He saw
our son's car on the side of the freeway, and he saw his body superimposed on that car.
So he knew he was dead because it was two dimensions. And then he heard himself say,
oh, that's right. It's almost time for you to do this. And Peshti, our son, answered and said,
that's right, Dad. I will be out of the house for a little while. So that was my husband's first
vision. But it was such a powerful experience for him that he became unconscious, and he didn't
remember it until we received a call from the hospital that our son had had a very serious
accident. But he didn't tell me until after Peshti had died. So there were so many experiences
after that that we both had after he died. Indeed, it was the day after his memorial.
So then it began. Our son wanted us to know that he was fine, that he was on the other side,
and that he was still creating, and that obviously there's no such thing as death.
It's simply a transition. But he also, after he was working to heal us, he wanted us to remember
why we were born now, that we had chosen to be born at this time for a very good reason, that
the earth is going through a powerful transformation. And one of the most important
things that we need to know is that there is no death. It is simply stepping out of a pair of
clothes, you might say, and stepping into the other side. And he would constantly say, remember,
remember that these were the choices you made. Well, actually, I should say this first, is that
two years before our son died, I started having dreams of his death. But I looked at them
symbolically. And I think that was helpful, because they were symbolic too, but they were also
literal that he was going to die. But it was good that I didn't really know that, that I could look
at them symbolically, so that our life was still happy, and we could enjoy life. But there was
something deep in us that didn't know. Sometimes I had a dream that it wasn't my son, but it was
my friend's son. But I still cried and cried as though it was my son. And I think that that did
help me to accept and be prepared for his death. But I have to say too, that I also, even when I
was pregnant with him, I had a dream that he didn't live long. I had a dream that I was going
into an old, my mother's old country schoolhouse. And I went upstairs. And as I was going upstairs,
I could see an old man sitting and smoking a pipe. But first of all, I could see that there were like
Chinese lanterns. And there was one, a very elongated one that was pulsating with light.
And in the dream, I knew that that was the child who would be born to me. And so,
then I saw out of the upper, first of all, the old man then, as he was smoking the pipe,
it formed a canvas. It actually, the smoke coming out of it formed a canvas which faced me.
And I could see our son coming into the canvas. And he was carrying a bag of something on his
back, not much. And I saw that he was coming through a gate. And the gate to him was death.
But I was looking at it, and it was the gate of birth. And so, he came through the gate,
was born. And then pretty quickly, he didn't stay long. And he immediately made a left-hand turn
and started going up the mountains. And he went out the top into just bright,
white light. And I knew that he was dead. But the old man was still there. And I knew that
that old man was his soul. And when I woke up, though, I didn't have the understanding
of what I had experienced. And I hoped that it wasn't about the child I was carrying.
But I knew it was, because I knew when I saw that pulsating light that this was about my child that
was to be born. But again, I tried to look at it symbolically. So, that was that dream. And then
my son, when he was almost 12, had a dream of exactly the way he did die. He dreamed he was
in an accident. He was taken to an emergency trauma center. And he was up above looking down
at his dead body. And then he was on the other side. And when he was on the other side,
he was with four boys to the left, four boys to the right. It was like a horseshoe. And he was
at the top of the horseshoe. And there was an eternal fire in the center. And on the other
side, he could see, like, in an aura of someone. But he knew that that was himself who was on his
way there. And he said, that made 10 of us. And I knew that when I arrived, it would be 10. And
that's the number of completeness. And it's interesting that we couldn't get them to take
him off the machines until the morning of the 10th, and everything worked. So, the number 10
really played a role. But you had asked earlier, and I don't think I answered it well,
did we see the other side? And I had said there was a voice always. And it was filled with
incredible intelligence, and love, and the sense of eternality, and of the value and the beauty of
every single human being that each one of us is here for a sacred purpose. And it was just
an incredible place to be. But what I experienced was simply being in a much higher state of
consciousness. And there was always a voice speaking to me. It was as though, one could say
it was a higher intelligence. Was it myself? It was much more intelligent than I was. So,
I think that it was that vast intelligence that we are born out of. And I love the description of
our being born out of universal intelligence, but we have a valve. And that valve sort of reduces
that vast consciousness so that we can do our daily chores, you might say, in life.
But every civilization needs to know how to release that valve. And certainly with our son's
death, that did something to our minds, certainly. But we did use shamanic techniques. Sometimes it
was just spontaneous. My husband said even going to work, he was constantly like a tape recorder
talking to him constantly, remembering everything he needed to know, that he had to wait to know
that until our son had crossed over. So, these were powerful experiences that changed his life
and changed mine. But our son really just wanted us to remember that this was the work that we
had chosen to do, and that all of us co-create in multidimensional realities. And that we play
very often a similar game, whatever needs to be played at this particular time. And ours was that
to do what we could to remember that there is no death. And my husband also through these
experiences knew, absolutely. In fact, it was very funny. He had one dream vision with our son.
And they were in like a sacred pool of water and kind of meditating, but also talking. And
our son said to him, Dad, you don't need to fear death. You've done it many times.
And I just remember. And he said, as a kind of joke, he looked over and he could see they were
in the pool in spirit and he saw his body hanging on a hook. And then later he had to just step back
into it to come back. But he said, it was just so clear. I mean, because we were there, we were with
him and it was, there was no question at all. And neither of us had been absolutely sure until his
death. But the presence was so powerful and we'd have long conversations and I recorded everything.
And so that's what the book is based on. But yes, it was, there's, the evidence is overwhelming
from so many people. But when you have it yourself, then there's not a question.
You know, because I had the vision, which I just told, when I study and read and hear and know
about what people would like to do to us and control us and control the entire planet.
Yeah, one can get quite depressed, but I always remember the visions. And that one vision that
I just told you was so powerful that I knew, I knew that with this light, now we were all of us
working to connect that light, keep it, we're like, in fact, they sort of described it as we
become like a lighthouse. And that beam of light is circling around the planet. And think of how
many people are doing that today. And I think the higher we raise our energy, those who want to
do tremendous harm and are doing tremendous harm will eventually not be able to accomplish it.
So I am hopeful for the world. In spite of everything, I think that we are more conscious,
it's the fifth renaissance of this underground tradition, which is the roots of Western culture,
certainly, that I think that in this renaissance, we have quantum physics, which is a science
that doesn't deny the other dimensions, they have evidence that there are other dimensions,
spirit dimensions, and that we have access to it. So I think that there are so many things
that can encourage us and inspire us, that people are waking up and we have a science,
and we have the near death experiences, I think they are changing the world. Because this is,
I remember when I didn't know, it was the near death experiences, which really,
really encouraged me until I started having my own experiences. So I mean, these experiences
just cannot be denied. Yes, well, the quantum physics is such a tremendous advancement
from material science. But as I show in my book, Merchants of Light, there were
many mystics who were also scientists. And whenever they emerged in the surface of civilization or of
culture in Europe, the church, the Roman church, the Habsburgs, absolutely wiped them out to the
best they could, but they went underground. So it was after the complete destruction of
the third renaissance period, where there were scientists and mystics, that several years later,
in 1660, the Royal Society for the Advancement of Science was started. Some of these scientists
had been, they were mystics, they were part of the underground, but they couldn't do anything
with mysticism. They couldn't talk about consciousness. They couldn't talk about any
other dimension, because the Roman church censored what that group of scientists could study. They
could only study matter. So then we received this horrible worldview that there's nothing but matter,
nothing. If when you're dead, you're dead. There's no meaning, there's no purpose.
And that was the most horrible worldview that any culture could ever have. So that was several
hundred years we lived with that. That was what we bequeathed our children, and many of them were
destroyed with that worldview and want to take us over today because they've had no other meaning to
live by. But in the early part of the 19th century, I mean, the 20th century, in the 1900s,
quantum physicists, well, quantum physics developed, and the people who were studying it began to
realize this is way different from what we had thought. And so they went to the study to try to
understand it by studying mystics, but they couldn't put it together. And so it's really
only been in about the last 50, 60 years that scientists all around the world have been coming
to similar conclusions. And they know that, I mean, it's just incredible. We were told that
we had no effect on matter. There was nothing we could do. We were really flawed people and
not worthy. But now with quantum physics, we know all we have to do is look at something,
observe it, and we change it. We are powerful creators. So we really know through quantum
physics that we live in a multidimensional world and that we are co-creators. And we need
to understand, especially in the West, we've been told again and again we're nothing.
One of the first stories by those who wanted to censor us was that we were thrown out of the
garden because we had sinned. We were unworthy. And all the way through our history in the West,
we've been told that we need to be saved. We need to be fixed. We need now to be transhumanized
and join with the machine or merge with the machine. And this is exactly what the others
were trying, were denying because they wanted us to know, no, we have, we are universal
consciousness. We are that. And we need to know that and allow ourselves to be that.
Even the story of Jesus, the church made Jesus a god. But texts that were used during the early
Christian period, but the church wanted destroyed, but were actually saved by burying them, were not
found until after World War II. And in those texts, the Nag Hammadi texts, Jesus says, I didn't come
to save you. I came to remind you of who you are. And if you bring that forth, what you bring forth
will save you. If you do not bring it forth, it will destroy you. So we're getting a much deeper
with quantum physics and with these Nag Hammadi texts and the knowledge, as I write about in
The Merchants of Light, the knowledge that in the West, there were shaman, mystic, scientific cultures
that were connected. They did know who they were, and they knew they were universal consciousness.
And they wanted everyone to know that number one, we are immortal. We do not die. Two, we are all
divine. And three, we are all powerful, powerful creators, co-creators with the universe.
As to who he was, yes, well, of course, the church taught us that Jesus was God, was a son of God,
the only son of God, and that we should worship him. But whenever we worship, it takes it outside
of ourselves, and we ourselves cannot be transformed. So it does appear in these texts,
the Nag Hammadi texts, that Jesus was a mystic, that he did, in fact, there is the tradition
that we know about now, is that Jesus taught a hidden tradition. And growing up, I never heard
anything about that. But of course, it wasn't discovered until later. But Jesus taught a living
tradition. It was hidden because the powers that be didn't want to hear anything like that, because
before the time of Jesus in 621 BCE, long before Christianity, before 621 BCE, the Jews had their
first temple. The first temple was a shaman, mystic tradition. And we now know that because
of the work of Old Testament scholar Margaret Barker. And she says that when Jesus was born,
and she sees him as historical, that at that time, it was a renaissance for the Jewish people of the
first temple, because he was, again, awakening that ancient tradition, which was of shamanism,
mysticism. And so he taught people techniques that was like the round dance, or other ways
to open up. And he said, when you drink from my mouth, you and I are one, I am not your master.
When you drink from my mouth, you and I are one. And just in so many ways, he wanted us to
experience through the higher levels of consciousness, that we are all immortal,
and divine, and creative. So that was his mission, actually.
And of course, to say that he died for us was from the church, because that isn't a myth of
becoming, is that all of us go through the death process. When we change, when we experience
reality, and we know there are other dimensions, and we die to the old self, and we are reborn,
knowing what we didn't know before. But they took that out and had Jesus, a God,
who died for us. But there's no way someone can die on a cross to help us to become conscious.
So the church did everything to maintain power and keep us subservient.
I think that we're learning a lot of different ways to connect. We're using ancient methods of
the Sand Bushmen in the Kalahari Desert for thousands and thousands of years.
They had developed techniques of dancing, and they would go into very, very profound altered states.
In the cave cultures, it seems as though they probably did use sacred plants, but they also
probably danced and had other methods. And we know that indigenous people, and many people
all around the world today, are still using the sacred plants of the earth.
And I think this is a phenomenal thing. In the West, there have been people who didn't
understand sacred medicine, and they were against it, and, no, you should do it on your own.
But there's another way of looking at that from a shamanic perspective, and that is how phenomenal
that the earth actually has plants, that if you take them into you, you can be a part of the
consciousness of the earth and of the universe. And it's like we are entering into a relationship
with Pachamama, the earth mother. What a sacred thing to do instead of saying, no,
everything must be done on one's own through individual meditation. No, it's that we have
the opportunity to allow her to speak to us. And I must say that with sacred medicine,
that she needed to speak to me about the things that grieved her deeply about her children
on the earth. And so it's powerful because you can learn almost more than you can take,
but nevertheless, it is a sacred gift from the earth. And the sand didn't use it. They lived
in a desert. So it really depended upon where people lived, what they could find and how they
developed. But all over the world, they developed ways. And I think today we are learning those ways
and many, many people are working with sacred medicine or with dancing, with drumming,
and also many others. In one, there's just a technique of eye movement.
There are just so many things that are being developed today that I think each of us has
to find our own way to do it. And so many people, it's simply spontaneous.
The Kamak Center works with the Forever Family Foundation, and we have a group that meets once
a month. And people come and share freely what they are not so sure they can share with anybody,
but the experiences that they have. And they're just phenomenal. Just as you and interviewing
people on your show and listening to some of them, I think they've had the most phenomenal experiences.
And so this is happening, I think, everywhere. People are really experiencing the other side
in a profound way and with many different methods.
I think that what we're moving away from is the organized religions idea of a god,
is that there is divine, loving, profound intelligence that pervades the universe.
Everything is born out of that. And there are beings who are highly developed at what we would
call a god level. And that intelligence can form itself into an a-being and appear, or it can be
any form or non-form. Our ancestors knew that there are really three major dimensions of reality.
One is pure spirit, pure intellect, no form whatsoever. That truly is divine intelligence,
sacred intelligence, sacred spirit. But it's constantly moving into the intermediary world
or the subtle world or the archetypal symbolic world. And the archetypes are laws which shape
and give form to that energy. And then the third world is matter,
is that we are able to then, through the intermediary world, to create matter.
But it's so important for us to learn how to be open to the intermediary world and work with it
and learn their laws, which are in the form of archetypes or symbols. And our ancestors wanted
nothing more than to begin with knowing the laws of nature, which would be the intermediary world.
What are the laws that pure spirit, pure intelligence takes when it begins to enter
into the subtle world and then into matter? And if we live and create by those laws,
we can do anything. How will people who follow a religion be affected when they step into
the afterlife? I think that many of them have given us information in the near death,
many who really believed in a particular religion. And when they were actually experiencing it on
the other side, they realized it's so much vaster and everything was just so much more intense and
beautiful and clear and that we are all loved, all important, and we're all one, we're all a part of
the whole. And Christianity, I think, it was kind of a problem because they believed and taught that
they are the only religion. And that's always a problem when you hear that, you know, there's
something wrong there because there's so many ways to awaken to the divine. And if a religion thinks
it's the only path, then there will be a surprise on the other side. But I think it's a delightful
surprise, you know, when they step over and they realize, oh, because it's so much more,
so much more. And the love is so intense. Many see Jesus as a companion. He is of love. And
when they're on the other side, that love is so much faster than they could ever have imagined.
And there's so many who are like Jesus on the other side. When they go, yes, you know,
I think it's probably different for everyone in some ways, but certainly the journey is
on the other side. It's total acceptance, total love. And we ourselves, when we experience that,
what I could gather from our son is that you just are where your frequency fits and you have the
work to do. You choose that work. I think we all, what it was pretty clear to us is that we've all
chosen our work before we come. And then when we're on the other side, we continue that work.
And one of the things that we experienced about the other side is a concern, a very deep and
powerful concern for the earth and that there were many people. In fact, it was very simply
called the Earth Project. Many, many souls from all over, it seemed, are concerned and have come
here. They are being born because the earth now has a higher frequency. And so that people with
higher consciousness can be born and that we too are waking up. And because the energy field
now has a higher frequency so that our work can be more effective. So I, along with others that
you've interviewed, I'm very, very hopeful in spite of all of the darkness that is on our planet.
And it is powerful. I think we have to have the courage to look at it and know it very well.
But we are also, the frequency of love is the highest and most powerful frequency there is.
