The traditional Irish song "The Lark in the Clear Air" is sung here by Cara Dillon accompanied by Sam Lakeman on the piano.

The tune seems likely to have originally been an 18th century rebel song, but in the 19th century Belfast writer Samuel Ferguson set some touching lines of verse to it which today make it one of the most famous romantic songs in the tradition.
