I think it was absolutely fantastic.
I've been watching this for a long time on TV and thought that I should go,
so I'm really happy to be here tonight.
Fantastic.
I'm fascinated by the precision,
the evenness, the precision that they have,
and the tempo.
It's the tempo that makes you never get tired.
Fantastic.
Marie Lindqvist has performed on leading ballet stages
in Europe, Asia and America,
and has received several royal awards.
In 2004, she was awarded the honorary title
of Queen of Sweden,
the highest award in Swedish dance,
and in 2014 she was also awarded the medal
Litteris et Artibus.
Today, she is a ballet master at the Royal Opera
and teaches the Royal Ballet.
She particularly emphasizes Kenyon's choreography
and the artistic expression.
The expression, the storytelling,
the drama,
the drama in these stories
that they want to convey a very strong message.
I think it's really...
Yes, you really take it to heart.
Yes, besides the dramatic stories
that they told,
I think the traditional dance with the girls
was fantastic.
The precision there was absolutely wonderful to see,
and the arms, the artistic expression in the arms
was fantastically beautiful.
Yes, I can't say enough about the precision.
Absolutely incredible.
You can see what work is behind the hours,
because everyone should be so even and exact.
And to make it look so flowing and light.
It's the same in classical ballet,
that it should just flow.
Yes, absolutely wonderful.
Lindqvist was also impressed by the interaction
between the dancers and Kenyon's orchestra.
The musicality is also absolutely enormous
from the dancers, from the whole troupe.
For me, the live music,
just that it is a live orchestra
together with the dancers on stage
does something completely different.
I also know that the challenge
when you have live music,
because then you are dependent on this evening's
way of performing.
And every day is a new day,
and everyone is an artist,
everyone is less happy one day,
more tired one day,
so it's a interaction that should work.
So that interaction is enormous, really.
She also expressed appreciation
for Kenyon's spiritual depth and beauty.
She would like to recommend others
to go and see the performance.
What you have on the web is just beautiful,
beautiful, beautiful.
Spiritual, beautiful.
A lot of faith, spirituality.
That you cling to the beautiful
and the good.
I think it is necessary.
You need to believe in the good.
And as they give a message
that despite everything that happens
you should keep the tradition
and you should dare to believe in the good,
I think it came out very strongly
that you have to.
In these times.
Very nice.
Absolutely, really.
You have to go home and melt, I think.
Make sure to go when they are here.
A few performances I understand
are worth it.
It's an incredibly beautiful experience,
you have to say that.
A beautiful experience in the soul and physically.
