Today I am crossing from Dubai into Iran! I will take the overnight ferry so its going to be a long, long, journey.
So as you can see I am now on the ferry and already here on the ferry I have to
start covering my hair so from now on when I arrive in Iran I have to cover my
hair either by my helmet or like this so so many things have happened
Good morning Internet it is 11.50 in the morning still and welcome back to the
channel today is the big day I will be taking a ferry to Iran the ferry only
leaves at 9 o'clock in the evening and then it'll be an overnight ferry
but I already have to be in the port at 4 p.m. to arrange the paperwork to do the
custom clearance and all of that it's about an hour ride to the port but
before I go there I'm first gonna ride past Royal Enfield shop and the free
spirit motorcycle shop because last week I met loads of people there and I
just want to say bye before I go because I went to the Royal Enfield shop on
Tuesday I think and they invited me to the Royal Enfield bikers gala which was
on Friday which was really cool and I met so many new people and we did a lot
of talking about motorcycles and they gave me several presents they gave me a
new set of gloves these ones which I'm super happy with because they're quite a
bit tougher than the ones I had and I'm using them well yeah almost every day so
they wear quite quickly so I'm super happy with these new ones and they gave
me a t-shirt and they gave me some spare tubes and in the free spirit motorcycle
shop they checked Basanti, they checked every little screw on her and she got
fully cleaned and they also insisted that I didn't pay them so it was all it
was just an amazing week in Dubai I met so many cool people so before I'm
leaving I just want to say goodbye to all of them so let's go
Hi, how are you? I'm good, how are you? Good, good to see you. So this is the Royal Enfield shop in Dubai I'll show it to you
because so last I think it was Tuesday I came here with Basanti and they did a
full checkup and I decided to do an oil change it was a little bit early but it
is the last Royal Enfield shop until I don't know a very long time so better be
prepared so they gave Basanti an oil change and checked everything so all is
ready to go so this is the shop it's quite big oh I didn't see this one yeah
same engine nice so is this one is that from somebody this one wow that is so
cool people do like sidecars in Dubai yeah people put sidecars on the bikes it
looks like he took it for a ride in the desert so this is their workshop so
Basanti was standing right here last week so we really wish that you have a great journey
and we have a little good luck over here
oh that's awesome
this goes on your Royal Enfield
oh cool
goes on your jacket
cool
yay
I will, thanks for everything
Good morning Basanti
Good morning, hi
How are you? I am good and you?
Welcome back
Today I leave no?
Yes
So they got a lot of different bikes in here
they have some Ducati
over here
and dirt bikes
and all sorts of
things
baby Basanti
and they also do custom
custom made bikes so
they build them all from scratch
this is the workshop
so they are building this one
all the way from scratch
completely custom
I will just go right to the port now
I have to go to Sharjah to port
Khalid or something
so I am just going to go there
it will take a lot of time to do all the paperwork anyway
so it is better to be there a bit early
the visibility is really poor by the way
I think it is windy
over the desert or something
the air is just full of dust
so that is a bit of a shame because Basanti
got cleaned yesterday completely
but I think by the time I reach the port she will be full of sand again
but anyway
let's go
so as you can see
I am now on the ferry
and already here on the ferry
I have to start covering my hair
so from now on when I arrive in Iran
I have to cover my hair either by my helmet
or like this
so many things have happened
I will try and explain everything
that happened
so I arrive at the port
and at the entrance gate the security
says where is your red paper
I say what red paper
they say go to that building
so I go to another building and I say can I have a red paper
they say where is your white paper
I don't have a white paper
so turns out that I have to
ride 10 minutes back into Sharjah
into town, go to an agency
buy a ticket there
because I thought I already had it arranged
but apparently not
so I go there, buy the ticket
race back to the port again
then I get my white paper
then I got my red paper
so they eventually let me in
then I had to go to
another office and then they gave me
a blue paper and another white paper
and I don't know it was quite complicated
and I was just running around
from place to place
in the end after quite some waiting
they picked me up to go to immigration
to get my stamp and my passport
at that point there were a lot of people
I think we were total about 100 passengers
and after some 20 passengers
the whole system shut down
so nobody could get stamped out of
the Emirates anymore
so we waited, we waited, then a bus came
and they took us to another office
like a 10 minute ride
system was also down there so they said
okay go back so we all went back again
then waited more, waited more
several hours later
because now it's already I think 8.30 at night
we are supposed to leave in half an hour
but I don't think that will happen
eventually they collected the passports
of everybody, they took them away
and 15 minutes later
or half an hour later they came back
gave my passport back, I have a stamp
of the Emirates so I am officially stamped
out of the Emirates
and I am now waiting on the ferry for the rest
of the passengers but then we probably still
won't leave because it's really bad weather
it's been raining and very
windy so it's likely that
we have to wait until the weather improves
and then we can go
so Basanti is downstairs
at the lower deck
she's all tied up so that's okay
oh and then they made a mistake with
the Carnet so by accident
they stamped the Carnet
in the wrong place
costing me another page of the Carnet
so I am really bummed about that
and I hope it's not going to give me problems later
because now it's completely messed up
and stamped in the wrong place
anyway I don't know what they have to say
about that in Iran but anyway
so far so good
I am on the ferry, Basanti
is on the ferry and hopefully we will
leave soon and then it's going to be
an 11 hour
ride or ferry
ride and in the morning I will
hopefully arrive in Iran
and this is where I will be sleeping
tonight
so yeah I am just going to
stretch out
on these chairs and then
hopefully I will get some sleep
and that was it
I am in Iran
oh I am exhausted
it was a long night at the ferry
I think I slept maybe
4 or 5 hours or something
so not very much
and then when the ferry finally arrived
so it took in total
it was 11 hours sailing
then when the ferry finally arrived
we first had to wait on board of the ferry
for another hour and then
we had to go to immigration
that actually went pretty quickly, that was a matter of
stamping the passport because I already had my visa of course
and then
I had to get Basanti cleared
and that was again a whole process
and getting stamps
and then going to this office and then going to that office
and wait here and wait there
so in total that took
another 4 hours
but I got it done
my Carnet is stamped
and I just
rode into Bandar Abbas
so from the port to
Bandar Abbas was another
I don't know 15 minute ride or something
and I couldn't really book
anything up front
so I was just riding in the first sign
of a hotel that I saw
I thought okay I see a hotel, let's go there
because I want to shower and just
relax a little bit so this is my room
it's pretty basic
but fine, perfect
I didn't even check the
bathroom yet
so this is the bathroom
so all pretty good
so now I'm going to have some rest
then I have to go and change some money
because I brought US dollars with me
and I have to change them here to
Riyal
but it's not really a good idea to do a big
amount at once because
one US dollar is 100,000
Riyal
so yeah then you're going to end up with a lot of money
so I'm just going to change a little bit
and I'm also going to
look for a local SIM card
so I have internet on my phone
anyway for me
the main thing is that even though
it was a long journey and it took a lot of
time and paperwork and stamps and stuff
everything went fine
there were no difficult questions
or nothing, nothing really so
it was just a matter of going through all the procedures
but other than that
it was absolutely fine so
I am now in Iran, I'm super happy
and yeah I have a
30 day visa so I have plenty of time to
see something of this country
so anyway even though
I couldn't record a lot of it because
I didn't want to risk it with authorities
and you're not allowed to
take videos or photographs
at ports so I couldn't record anything
but anyway I still hope you liked this video
if you did please give me a big thumbs up
and subscribe down below and then
in the next video that will be the first
riding video in Iran
so I am looking forward to it
and I hope you too!
