🛠️ Common errors in 400-day watches
1. The watch does not run even though it is wound
Common cause: The spiral spring is broken or installed incorrectly.
Remedy: Replace the spiral spring with the correct type (thickness and length according to the model). The direction of the spiral needs to be adjusted correctly.
2. The watch runs too fast or slow
Cause: Problem with the balance wheel or the length of the spiral.
Remedy: Adjust the balance disc at the shaft end or turn the time adjustment screw at the top of the watch (if any).
3. Unevenly twisted spring
Cause: The spring is bent, twisted in reverse or installed on the wrong shaft.
Remedy: Reinstall in the correct direction of twist, replace if the spring is deformed.
4. Needle stuck or not rotating
Cause: The gear is dry of oil, dirty or the shaft is damaged.
Remedy: Clean, lightly oil and check the balance of the wheel.
