👉🏽 Gran Paradiso National Park is on the IUCN Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas, a program of best practice for conservation. It’s also one of the WWF’s Alpine “gemstones”, areas that have been identified as in need of urgent protection. The hope is that classifications like this will raise awareness and save the ibex and many alpine species.
