So lying in 20th place, representing the Philippines, she's 19 years of age, born in Los Angeles, trains in Colorado Springs, but here, very much representing the Philippines, Sofia Lexie Jacqueline Frank.
Alright, start position.
Oh, pop the Lutz, what a shame, had loads of speed going into that.
Pop the flip as well.
You've got to start talking to yourself.
Well done.
Triple loop, double toe.
Now build on that.
Much better.
Oh, well done.
There's her sequence.
Triple Lutz, double Axel.
And she makes the toe loop as well.
Well that was a performance of real character.
Representing Philippines, Sofia Lexie Jacqueline Frank.
You can see she was running on empty towards the end of the program, but I'll tell you what, did she dig deep or what?
Sofia Lexie Jacqueline Frank, representing the Philippines, trains in Colorado with Tammy Gamble.
Damon Allen greeting her at the door.
But I tell you, I'm sure he will say the same thing.
When you go out there and you pop the first two jumps as she did here, and you see that, it is the worst feeling in the world.
And a lot of the top skaters in this competition have said how nervous they were going into the short program.
And it's all about how you can cope with those nerves.
How you can jump, find the timing, find your rhythm.
When your legs are shaking, the pulse rate's going through the roof, you can hardly breathe.
And you can't simulate that.
The only way you can learn to cope with it is by getting out and competing.
Now she can really build from what she's experienced here.
She's shown that she's a real trooper out there.
And I said after those first two jumps, you know, come on, talk to yourself.
And that's exactly what she must have done.
I'd love to know what she said.
Yes, some of the jumps weren't perfect, but she rotated them.
She's going to get some underrotations, I'm sure, in there.
But he knows.
He knows how tough that is.
Well done.
Yeah, you cannot underestimate what it feels like when you go out there
and you feel like you've got somebody else's skates on and your legs feel like jelly
and somehow you've got to do what you do in practice under completely different circumstances.
Brilliant, well done.
So her best score is 94.79.
She got that in the Finlandia trophy.
The score is new.
The jumps needed to be clean to get a score like that, I think.
Yeah, 73.61. She does go into the lead.
But I'll tell you what, the score's irrelevant.
The courage she showed was magnificent.
