This is lesson 3 of Parting the Wild Horse's Mane. This lesson is for more experienced Tai Chi students or those interested in Tai Chi theory. I apply the core movements of the Tai Chi Code to explain the specific Tai Chi energies used in each movement of Parting the Wild Horse's Mane. This is my personal analysis of the core movements and not part of any standard Tai Chi instruction. If you have experience in Tai Chi, feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts.

Using my theory, Parting the Wild Horse's Mane utilizes three of the Tai Chi energies, Split, Elbow Strike, and Ward Off. I explain how these three energies can be directly correlated with the specific patterns of core movements used in each one of the transitions, as well as the final movement. These techniques can be applied to your regular practice, helping to make it more consistent. It will also help you troubleshoot problems in your form.
