Higuita: The Way of the Scorpion | Official Trailer | Netflix
Apr 25, 2025
From poverty to soccer legend, this documentary captures the rise of Colombia's René Higuita, his revolutionary career and the birth of "The Scorpion."
How does one feel with that vertigo of entering a field with emotions and fears?
The one who leaves a mark on life is the one who is capable of doing majestic things that no one expects.
It's a new football. It's an art.
René is a kind of those touched by God like Diego Maradona, like Pelé, like Messi.
He used to pass by the middle of the field and go crazy.
His name is El Loco. René revolutionized the world.
He has scored 49 goals and is the best scorer in the world.
We love you, Higuita!
We are going to change the history of Colombian football.
To make René Higuita's efforts, we had to fight with many dragons, as they say.
Anyone can look for us, and many more powerful people.
A journalist asked me if I was a friend of Pablo Escobar, and I said yes.
Everything that has led him to be what he is today has been a chain of mistakes.
He says he is a perfectly imperfect being.
The Metropolitan Police have already sent him to the city of Bogotá.
Football is like life. You have your good times and your bad times.
René is one of the greatest legends in world football, and if not the greatest in Colombian football.
