Oh, hello, students. Teacher Shelby here. Let's practice daily routines. Talking about daily routines.
What is your daily routine? I'll tell you my daily routine. Now, when we talk about things we do every day, daily,
things we do daily, we use the present tense verbs. Present verbs. Like, for example, here is my morning routine.
Are you ready? I wake up at 6.30 in the morning. I get up at 7, right? Snooze, snooze for 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
Sometimes I snooze my alarm. I get up at 7 a.m. I go to the gym maybe three or four times a week at 7.30.
After the gym, I take a shower and I get dressed, right? I have my morning coffee at maybe 8.30 or 9 a.m.
I also eat a little breakfast, something small, with my coffee. I always brush my teeth in the morning, always, every day.
And I begin my work or I start work at 9 a.m. Or maybe if I'm running a little late, I start work by 9.30 in the morning.
Now, I work from home. I work on my laptop in my house. So, it's very comfortable, super easy for me to wake up, have breakfast, have my coffee, go to the gym, get ready, and begin work by 9.30.
That is my morning routine. Now, let's talk about my evening routine. What is my evening routine or my nighttime routine?
So, I finish work by 5 p.m. I finish all my work by 5 o'clock. I usually make dinner at 5.30 or 6 o'clock and I eat dinner with my husband.
Then, on Mondays and Wednesdays, I go to English class and I teach English at 7 p.m. I finish teaching English. The classes are finished at 8.30 and I get home by 9 o'clock at night.
Now, if I don't have English class, so maybe Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, if I don't teach English at night, I usually relax.
I watch some TV with my husband or I read a book. I study some Spanish sometimes. I try to study Spanish one hour every day and I usually go to bed at 10.30 every night.
So, I try not to scroll on my phone on Instagram too much at night because it keeps me awake and I can't sleep. That's my evening routine.
Now, let me ask you a few questions. What time do you wake up? What time do you get up out of bed? Maybe it's the same time or maybe you snooze, snooze, snooze your alarm.
Do you take a shower in the morning or at night? Which one? Or both? Do you eat breakfast and drink coffee in the morning? What time? What time do you start work every day? What time?
Now, when do you get home from work usually? When do you get home from work? What do you do at home in the evening? Do you relax, watch TV, read? I don't know.
What time do you cook dinner? Or what time do you eat dinner? Maybe you don't cook. What time do you eat dinner every night? And what time do you go to sleep? Is it early or very late?
Okay, tell me more about your morning routine and your evening routine and you can use these questions to practice present tense verbs. Alright, I'll see you later. Bye!
