[S1 - Eps. 40] The Journey Continues - To Oman!

And I'm at the airport I checked in I got my ticket so let's go to Oman Good morning Internet it is 822 in the morning and welcome back to the channel if you're new to the channel I completed the first leg of my motorbike trip And I'm now in Kuala Lumpur and I'm trying to get my motorbike ships to Oman to continue the journey Now this is easier said than done and it already took two full days to build a crate around my bike That's all done. And today we're gonna bring her to the airport or at least that's the plan Same like the other days. I have no idea what to expect I have no idea what's going to happen if I'm gonna see the customs or not or I absolutely have no idea But let's find out There she is Morning, my name is Noraly. Hi Paisal, nice to meet you Board there so I footage I'll be able to get today, but we're now going to get a gate pass from me so far, it looks like I can actually bring my bike to customs Leaving my papers somewhere in a truck didn't really appeal to me So so far so good. So now we're going to try to get a gate pass from me to an offloading area Step two is complete. I have a pass so not too sure where we're gonna go now next stop I really hope they'll let me up to customs and I don't know the customs inspection but let's see how far we can go They kept my passport here. So I I will have to come back here to retrieve my passport and bring back the pass This one, oh yeah, yeah, okay So yeah, that was it I left Basanti here The Carnet is here They told me that today is Tuesday They told me that on Thursday The customs is gonna do the inspection Then they expect on Friday That we'll have a customs clearance And then they put it on the plane to Muscat in Oman So there's nothing else I can do I can't come for the inspection So I tried but I can't be there except when they do that So I don't really have another option than to just go back to KL Go back to Kuala Lumpur And yeah, wait Good morning again, it is 9.04 in the morning And I have some very good news Because I got the customs clearance and I'm now going to the airport to pick up my Carnet which is already stamped So that means that Basanti is already stamped out of Malaysia and she will be put on a plane today So that is super good news So now I'm gonna go to the airport I'm now waiting for my grab So yeah, the past 4 days I've not been bored at all I've been actually super busy I'm doing all sorts of arrangements I arranged my visa for Oman So that's done I also already arranged my visa for Iran Because I will be going there quite quickly after Oman And getting a visa for Iran is really hard You need to have an Iranian travel insurance and you need to have an invitation letter It's a lot of paperwork and a lot of hassle But I got it done So I already have my visa for Iran as well And then I also had to move I'm now somewhere else Because the Airbnb where I was staying they were double booked or something like that So they kind of kicked me out So I moved to a different part of KL A lot more in the city centre It's a bit more busy But Was that my grab? But that's fine for the last few days So all is looking good So I have my Carnet You can see here This is Myanmar Thailand And Malaysia Got stamped So I'm super glad that I have my papers back Because they are so important And that basically means that Basanti is custom cleared So all good to go And she is flying today I'll be flying tomorrow So I got my visa, I got my flight already booked A place to stay booked So tomorrow morning I'll be heading to the airport And then flying to Oman So I am super excited And I'm at the airport I checked in, I got my ticket So let's go to Oman Welcome to Oman I'm walking up a wall of heat at the moment Really nice airport, this airport is brand new They opened it last year So it's super nice So now I'm going to take a taxi to my hotel Yes Thank you Oh wow So I arrived in my hotel It's a really really pretty nice room Look I got like a chandelier Chandelier, I don't know how you pronounce it So It's a pretty good room The only thing, I just received some really disappointing news So my bike has been submitted by the agent to the carrier which is a freighter and they gave me a tracking trace code and I already noticed that the plane that it was supposed to be on didn't leave Kuala Lumpur at all, so I was already thinking something is wrong here So the plane didn't leave for 24 hours and now, when I just had internet again, I checked and now it's saying that it will be on a plane which is leaving in 2 weeks so that means that my bike is sitting for another 2 weeks in Kuala Lumpur and I am in Oman, so that's a super bummer I do think it's better for me to sit here in Oman than waiting 2 more weeks in Kuala Lumpur because here you can do some amazing off road riding so I think I have to cheat on Basanti a little bit and just see if I can rent a dirt bike or something and then go ride in the mountains here because I did bring all my gear, so I got my helmet and I wore my motorbike boots in the airplane and I got my jacket, I basically have all my riding gear with me, so I am super happy I brought that, it's just one of those things that I don't know, you have to kind of accept that sometimes things don't go so smooth and efficient as I would like it to be, but yeah not much else to do than plan B and just rent a dirt bike and go into the mountains so I think it should be good so hopefully in the next video you'll see me riding around here on some dirt tracks, I really hope that it's going to work, even though the ending is a little bit disappointing I still hope you liked this video if you did, please give me a big thumbs up and subscribe down below and hopefully see you in the next video
