Bicycle Touring Belize and Northern Guatemala - Ep. 20 - BikeHikeSafari

Bicycle Touring the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and cycling the lonely backroads. On this episode I am joined by Sonja to explore Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve in Mexico before heading into Belize. The roads in Belize are not cyclist friendly. Most of the time there is no shoulder on the road and the vehicles drive at crazy fast speeds. We stopped at a place called Crooked Tree and the Belize Zoo where we came very close to Jaguars, Pumas and more. Upon entering Guatemala we were detained at a road block by locals then torrential rains had us taking shelter under cover in Tikal. Not all things go to plan when Bicycle Touring.
