president Donald Trump's promised tariffs on Canada Mexico and China have now gone into effect that's 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico Canada and additional 10% tariffs on goods from China on top of the pre-existing 10% now this is in response to the role these countries have played in Mass illegal immigration and the Border crisis as well as to drug trafficking into the United States now Trump has especially singled out fenel as being one of the biggest drivers behind these tariffs noting the drug has killed around 100,000 Americans every year and that Canada Mexico and China they've been facilitating its entry into the US and now well we're seeing what could be the start of a trade War Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a list of retaliatory tariffs on the United States Canada will be implementing 25% tariffs against $155 billion of American products and the Chinese communist regime they've also responded against the United States with tariffs of up to 15% on some us Goods that will include 15% tariffs on American chicken wheat corn pork Dairy and a long list of other agricultural products Trump is taking actions that could offset these in a recent move to tariff foreign food products just overall something he said will help balance the market for us Farmers selling their goods domestically and look in response to all of this Trump is say saying if these countries Place tariffs on the United States in response to his actions then the United States will increase these tariffs this is part of his policies for reciprocal tariffs and equal trade deals where he has noted America trades at a massive loss with most countries in the world and that includes Canada China and that those days are now over
