One artist’s painstaking creations are that realistic, they look more like photographs than drawings.
Okeke Chukwuka Francis, 26, studies urban and regional planning at the Federal University Technology in Minna, however when it’s holiday time and Okeke returns to his home in Abuja, Nigeria, he practises his true love of art.
The self-taught visual artist has never once formally studied art, but his passion and talent has caused Okeke to create stunning drawings that look so realistic you’d swear they were photographs.
Inspired by the pioneers of photo-realism and hyper-realism, such as Gottfried Helnwein and Emanuele Dascanio, and sometimes using himself as his own muse, Okeke spends up to 100 hours to bring his incredible works of art to life.
