Grocery prices could SKYROCKET in WA if this bill becomes law

At 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, House Democrats voted to pass Senate Bill 5284, a bill that could drastically increase the cost of grocery packaging and beverage containers.

Under the Democrats’ leadership, Washington already has the fourth highest average grocery prices in the nation, and 55% of Washington residents report facing food insecurity. The Legislature should be working toward making life more affordable—not making it harder to feed your family.
