Oh, such a fun sunny day.
Oh, it's so pretty outside.
Oh, there's a pony...
Mommy!
No, Lily, not right now.
I'm still baking.
We need to go together.
But it's so close.
I'll just go really quick and come right back.
Lily, I said no.
Hmm, I wonder if this is Emily.
Hello?
Hi, Em.
Did you make the potato salad?
Yes, I'm working on the cookies right now.
Mom's talking to Aunt Emily.
I'll just go to the park for a few minutes.
She'll never know I'm gone.
I get to go to the park.
Oh, there's a slide.
Oh, and there's a swing.
I'm right on the swing.
Oh, and there's a jungle gym.
I should go climb the jungle gym.
Oh, oh no.
There's a dog.
Oh no.
Oh no!
No, don't chase me! Stop!
It got away.
I think it's time to go home now.
Uh...
Is it this way?
No, this isn't the way.
No, that's not the way.
Let's go this way.
Hello there.
Is everything okay?
I thought this was the way home.
Am I really lost?
What if I never ever find home again?
Is that Mom?
It is Mom!
I'm so happy to see everyone in my life.
Are you mad at me?
Enough without asking.
Oh, Lily.
I was so worried about you.
But more than anything,
I'm just so happy I found you.
Do you know, this reminds me of a story Jesus told.
A story?
Yes.
In the Bible, Jesus talked about a shepherd
who had a hundred sheep.
One got lost, just like you.
What did the shepherd do?
He left the ninety-nine safe sheep
and searched everywhere for the lost one.
And when he found it,
he was so happy.
Just like you were happy to find me.
Exactly.
And Jesus said,
that's how God feels when we come back to him.
Even when we make mistakes,
he never stops loving us.
So God's not mad at me?
No, sweetie.
See?
God is filled with joy when we turn back to him.
That's why Jesus came to find us and bring us home.
I'm really glad you found me, Mommy.
Me too, sweetheart.
Now, let's go home.
Together.
Have you ever suddenly discovered that you were lost?
It's a terrible feeling, isn't it?
Whether we realize it or not,
we're all lost in sin.
But there's good news.
We are so important to Jesus
that he left heaven and came to earth
to find and save us.
Trust him today.
Memory verse.
For the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost.
