Cirque de Gavarnie

A walk from Gavarnie village, first up to the Plateau de Bellevue, then back down into the valley, then up to the cirque itself via the Hotel du Cirque. The hotel was still closed at this time (10.04.2025) and access to it necessitated crossing an avalanche.
Water flow in the Grande Cascade in the cirque was still relatively low at this early stage of spring. Minor avalanches were occurring fairly frequently as I was ascending the valley but I wasn't able to catch one on film once in the cirque.
