Thank you so much to Spotify for sponsoring today's video.
Hello lovies! Welcome or welcome back to my channel. I am so excited to be sitting here
right this second filming this video for you guys. It is officially our first video
in our new home, in our new city, in our new state. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy
you are here, and we are going to be talking about a whole bunch of books today. Basically,
of course. Are you surprised? I'm not surprised. Unless you're new here, maybe you are surprised.
I don't know. In today's video, we are going to be going through my physical TBR. She's hefty.
There's a lot of books on here. I don't know exactly how many. To be honest, I'm scared to
find out how many books are actually on my physical TBR, but by the end of this video,
we're gonna know exactly how many books are on my physical TBR. I thought this would be a really
fun video to do before I went in and set up my bookshelves just to kind of see what books I
haven't read yet out of my library, and even though this seems like a very big pile, seems
like a lot of books, right? You're like, Alexa, girlfriend, what are you doing? Across the way
from me right now, I'm looking at all the books that I have read that are in my physical library.
Guys, it's kind of crazy how many books I've read just in the past two and a half years doing
booktube, doing bookstagram, sharing my book reviews, doing all those fun reading vlogs with
you guys. Looking at all these books, knowing that there's like footage of me, whether it be on
YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, of me reading them, reviewing them, is so crazy and like mind-boggling.
I can't believe I read that many books. Seeing all those books is just so cool to me and it's almost
like a proud moment for me, I guess, because I literally remember reading all of them. I remember
the characters, the storylines, what I liked, what I didn't like. It's so cool. I don't know. If you
like reading, you totally know what I mean. If you don't like reading, I actually don't know why
you're watching this video. You're probably not gonna like it that much then. Anyways, we are
going to be going through my physical TBR today. It is all behind me. I also have like a stack of
books that are currently wrapped up because in the beginning of this year, I started off blindly
choosing my monthly TBR. So we have a whole stack of books that are currently wrapped. I can't even
remember for the life of me what books are wrapped. So we're just gonna have to use our imagination.
I thought this would be a really fun video to film with you guys though, kind of show you all the
books that I'm hoping to tackle this year. I have had so much fun reading all the books in my library
so far. You guys know I've also been super into audiobooks, which is also kind of the culprit for
why I still have so many books on my physical TBR. I have been living for audiobooks lately, guys,
especially with like moving and packing. I haven't really had time to sit down and read a physical
book, but that's why I love audiobooks, because I can listen to a fun book while getting things
done in life. And that brings us to the sponsor of today's video, which is Spotify. You guys are
probably sick of me talking about Spotify on my channel. I don't know what to say though. I
literally love Spotify. I've been a premium member with them since I was in high school, and I used
to listen to all the music on Spotify, and then they came out with podcasts, which was super fun.
And now, if you haven't heard, they now offer audiobooks, which is so cool in my opinion. I feel
like if you're a premium member with them, it is just such a steal because you get all of those
things to listen to for one simple price. When I was organizing and separating my books from what
I've read and what I haven't read, I actually popped on an audiobook that's called I'm That Girl by
Jordan Childs. It's such a cool and different audiobook for me to listen to because it's
actually a memoir by two-time Olympian Jordan Childs. It's been really cool so far in the
so I feel like that's going to be really fun to get into because I love, love, love watching the
Olympics, and gymnastics specifically is like one of my favorite things to watch. That's just
something else I really like about audiobooks too though is that I'm more inclined to try different
things and try different reads that maybe I wouldn't be inclined to pick up in a bookstore.
With Spotify Audiobooks and Premium, you can also access over 250,000 audiobooks as a master
account holder, which is so many books guys. It's so many different genres, authors, stories,
characters, especially if you're not like a really big reader or maybe you don't have a lot of time
to sit down with a physical book. Audiobooks are such a great way to get into reading. I will have
a link in my description for you guys to check out Audiobooks on Spotify. If you're not a premium
member, highly recommend signing up. You literally get music, podcasts, and now audiobooks all for
one great price, all on one amazing platform, and it's amazing. It's a lot of fun. With all that
being said, we are gonna hop right into my physical TBR. I can't believe it, but we're here. We're doing
it. We have all of these books to go through and I'm sure, as you can tell, we have some sprayed
edges in here. Some of you can probably tell what books those are specifically, especially this one.
This one I feel like is a very hot topic. We're gonna jump right into it though. We have so many
good fantasy books in this pile and a lot of them are on the chunkier side, which is why I haven't
gotten to them yet. First up, we have The Dagger in the Flame by Catherine Doyle. It's book one in the
City of Phantom series. I think it's supposed to be a really good solid enemies to lovers,
romanticy, everything we love when it comes to reading. Hoping to get to it very, very soon. Then
we have The Thirteenth Child by Erin A. Craig. This is another book that I picked up in December of
last year from Book of the Month. I'm pretty sure this is another romanticy book, but I think it's
on the darker side. And I remember wanting to pick it up because death plays like an actual role
and character in the story. And if you guys know, one of my favorite, favorite series is Belladonna
by Adeline Grace. If you haven't read that series, it's so, so good. But death, life, fate, they all play
actual characters in that series and it just felt very different from other books I had read and I
liked that they were real characters. I saw that it kind of had a similar aspect in this book and
that's why I originally picked it up, but I don't think death as a character in this book plays like
a major role or major character. I just thought that the vibes were going to be similar, kind of
like those gothic romanticy vibes that I get in Belladonna. I thought I'd really like them in
this book. Then we have A Fate Inked in Blood by Daniel L. Jensen. This is book one in the saga of
The Unfated. This is another fantasy book that I've heard really, really good things about. I actually
started it earlier last year, but I ended up soft ENFing it because I wasn't really in the mood to
read this type of fantasy at the time. But it's a book I definitely want to go back to because I'm
pretty sure it's like a viking origin and I feel like that's gonna be really fun and different
because I've never read something like that before. Next up we have Happily Never After by Lynn
Painter. This book I just naturally wanted to pick up because it's by Lynn Painter and I love her
writing style, but I just never got around to it mainly because I was very much sucked into the
Better Than the Movies universe at the time and I just... I don't know. I didn't want to pick up
another book by her because I just want to stay in that book universe. So we have this one. It's an
itty-bitty little romance. I think it's a rom-com actually, so it's one I definitely want to try out.
Another really, really good fantasy book that I can't wait to jump into, but she is on the
chunkier side and I feel like I just haven't had enough time to really cozy up with a chunky book.
We have Fantasma by Kaylee Smith. Everyone was raving about this book when it came out and I
have wanted to pick it up for so long, but I just haven't had the time again with moving and just
like all the craziness that comes with it. I haven't had time to cozy up with this book, but
this is another like romanticy-based book. It says Fantasma only has two rules. Stay alive and don't
fall in love. Immediately when I saw that, I feel like I was transported back to The Care of All
Universe by Stephanie Garber. It kind of has like a similar aspect where they're playing a deadly
game and you know they're trying to just make it to the end without falling in love or falling for
anyone's tricks. So I think that's why I was originally drawn to this one, but I've heard
such, such good things about it and I think book two also just came out for this as well. So I have
a lot of ketchup to play. Then we have Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld. This is a book I've
had for so, so long and it's just one of those books I haven't like felt the urge to pick up.
It's a book I basically need you guys to convince me to pick up if you've read it. I did decide to
keep it instead of donating it before we left and it's mainly because I think the cover is so pretty,
but it just seems like a fun like rom-com-y type of book and I feel like it'd be kind of different
from the normal type of romances I read. The Love of My Afterlife by Kiersey Greenwood. This is a book
that I was really excited about and then I think I saw a few bad reviews about it and I kind of
chickened out of picking it up. I kept it because I still want to give it a try. I find that even
when people review books, you know, that don't end up being like the best, sometimes I still end up
loving it. So I decided to keep it to give it a try. I'm pretty sure this is about a woman who
after she passes away, she ends up meeting the one or the love of her life and it's like a whole
story about that, which I feel like is so fun and different. We have Dance of Thieves and Vow of
Thieves by Mary E. Pearson. I've had these books on my shelves literally for the past two years
and I don't know why I haven't picked them up. If you've read these books before, let me know what
you think. If they're actually worth picking up. I'm pretty sure I just saw maybe just Allie pick
up one of them or maybe both of them. I can't remember. I'm pretty sure I saw her pick up this
duology though and say really good things about it. That's kind of why I've been hanging on to it.
We have Book Lovers by Emily Henry. Emily Henry is one of those authors that hit or miss for me,
to be completely honest. Some books I really, really, really don't like. Just they don't hit
for me and then there's other books by her where I'm like, oh this is really cute and fun and witty
and the banter that everyone raves about when it comes to Emily Henry. I definitely see it,
like I see the hype around it, but I'm always scared to pick up an Emily Henry book just
because I have had very poor experiences with them in the past. But we have Book Lovers. This
is one I've heard 50-50 things on. Some love it, some don't love it. We'll see. We have the Shadow
and Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. Another very, very popular series and universe. Everyone raves
about it. I need someone to motivate me to pick up these books. I do have to say I was seeing
like little clips on TikTok of the show. The show may give me the push I need to actually pick up
the books. I am almost there to picking these books up, but these are also Owlcrate special
editions. How gorgeous are these books? I'm obsessed. Are you surprised? I'm not surprised.
Next up we have The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. I loved the Inheritance Games
trilogy. It was one of my favorite, favorite series like two years ago, I want to say. And then she
started coming out with the new books and I just haven't jumped into them. I don't know. I think
it's one of those series where I just want to live in that universe with those characters and
that storyline specifically. Someone motivate me though to read her other books because I feel like
they've got to be just as good as the Inheritance Games because those books were so fun and they
were so addicting. Next up I have Jasper Val and Garnet Flats by Devani Perry. I believe I have
a third book floating around somewhere in this pile because they're not very organized as I'm
sure you guys can tell. But these books are part of the Eden series. I read book one which I believe
was Indigo Ridge. I read that at the beginning of last year and it really wasn't like my favorite
book ever. I feel like there was just a lot of things lacking in it depth-wise, character-wise. I
was just kind of bored. And I haven't picked up the rest of the books in the series just yet but I
hear a lot of people say that as you go deeper into the series they actually get so much better
which I should know better by now because usually you read book one and it's not always the best
and then you go on to book two and it's like a lot better and you go into book three and book four
and then it's your favorite series ever. We have The Sinner's Duet by Sophie Larfan. When it comes
to the Brutal Birthright series it was like one of my first dark romance-y experiences. I haven't
been reading a lot of dark romance to be completely honest. I read Part of Haunting Adeline last fall
and I've been traumatized ever since so I haven't picked up any dark romance because I feel like
that book alone literally scarred me. We have The Ashes in the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent.
I feel like I'm saying that wrong. I apologize. You guys know I'm really bad at names.
You know how it goes. But this is book two I believe and book one is wrapped up. I'm pretty
confident that I have book one wrapped up now that I am looking at this and thinking about it because
this is another series I've heard really fun and cool things about. Is this like vampires? I can't
remember. I feel like I remember it being like something to do with vampires though and I thought
that was really fun because I haven't read anything about vampires since Twilight and I was like oh my
gosh this is like the best thing ever. Next up we have Saving Six, Redeeming Six, and Taming Seven
all by Chloe Walsh. The Boys of Tommen series. I am still very much living with Binding and
Keeping 13. Talk about those books all the time. They are still some of my favorite favorite books
I think I've ever read. The romance is good in them. The storyline is good in them. There's just
so much depth and craziness that happens in those books. You just will never get bored. I am so
excited. I do hear a lot of people say that Saving Six and Redeeming Six is like their favorite books
in the series so I'm excited to kind of see what happens in them but I just can't see me ever
straying away from Johnny and Shannon's story because if you know you know. These are special
editions I have of Saving and Redeeming Six. I literally still have them in the plastic wrap
because I don't even want to unwrap them but I'm going to. Next up we have the notorious Magnolia
Park series. We have Long Way Home, The Great Undoing, and Into the Dark. I haven't read these
they are so freaking chunky but I do hear like they're so good and there's so much more to
Magnolia's story, Daisy's story, BJ's story. I definitely want to get back into this series. I
may even go back and read book one and book two again because I feel like that would kind of just
give me a good brain refresh with it but also I felt like with Magnolia Parks I was getting so
frustrated. I don't like the type of relationship that Magnolia and BJ had. It's just not my
favorite at all. Next up we have Playing by the Rules and Playing Hard to Get by Monica
Murphy. I'm pretty sure these are both football romances. They're part of the same series and
they're actually special editions from Eternal Embers. I forget what box I got them in but I
thought they were so cute and fun especially these edges. She's one of those sport romance authors
that people love and rave about. She's also the author of the Lancaster Prep series that everyone
was like raving about a few years ago so I decided to keep them because I feel like they'd be fun to
read during football season so we'll see what happens but if you've read anything by Monica
Murphy before, do you like her writing style? Is it fun? Is it captivating? Then we have A Thousand
Boy Kisses and A Thousand Broken Pieces by Tilly Cole. These are books that have been popular on
BookTok for the longest time but I just haven't picked them up yet because I know they're like
gonna break my heart. I'm gonna be crying. A Discovery of Witches. If you've been around for a
while, you have heard so much about this book because last year I started watching the show on
Netflix for it. Obsessed. Obsessed with the show. Obsessed with the storyline, the characters, the
whole premise of it, the fact that it's vampires and witches. I just felt like I was back in 2013
living my best life and so I decided to pick up book one of the series because as soon as I was
watching the show I was like this has got to be based on a book or something. It is just way too
good. Now we're here. I haven't read it just yet because I feel like I have to read it on my Kindle
or something but I didn't realize when I bought it that it was like formatted like this. This is a
headache. It's a migraine waiting to happen for me. That's really the only reason why I haven't
started it yet but I am so excited too because the storyline and the characters I'm just obsessed
with in the show. If you guys haven't seen the show, it's on Netflix. I could not recommend it
enough. It's so good. 5 Survive by Halle Jackson. She's another author that I loved when I started
like my big booktube journey. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder series. That was so so fun. I had never
read like a murder mystery book before so her series was like an intro into it for me even
though it's YA. It's not super intense or scary or anything like that. I loved it. I was addicted.
It's another series where you pick a book up and you'll finish it in one day because you just fly
through it. I have not yet picked up any of her other books though aside from that trilogy because
I'm kind of just living in it still to be honest and I've heard really good things about her other
books but I've kind of just been just been coasting with A Good Girl's Guide to Murder
and I haven't seen the show yet but I hear that's also kind of fun. Wings of Starlight by Alison
Saft. I just picked this book up before we left Colorado. It is a Tinkerbell universe origin story
of Clarion. I've also read other books by Alison Saft and have really liked her writing style and
her storytelling so when I saw that she was doing this I knew right away that I probably really like
it. Another Holly Jackson book as well as another Jennifer Lynn Barnes book. We have The Reappearance
of Rachel Price which I have to say I'm very intrigued with because this kind of gives off
A Good Girl's Guide to Murder vibe so this is a book I definitely want to pick up probably during
spooky season because that would be really fun. And then we have The Grandest Game by Jennifer Lynn
Barnes which is an Inheritance Games novel. I remember being very just frustrated and disappointed
with how she kind of wrote the ending of some characters and relationships so I think that's
why I haven't actually gotten into her other books yet. I feel like I'm holding a grudge against her
which is so dumb but we'll get there. We have Death which is part of the Four Horsemen series.
It's book four. It's by Laura Talasa. I do have the other three books in this pile as well because
I haven't read the series yet. I picked it up I want to say almost a year and a half ago because
they sounded and looked really good but again I'm kind of on that weird like dark romance break at
the moment because of Haunting Adeline but I've never seen anyone talk about this series before
so if you've read it or even if you're familiar with this author because I've never read anything
by Laura as well, do you like it? Is it a good and fun writing style? Does it keep you intrigued?
I think the covers for these are super fun and I like the idea of it being about the Four Horsemen.
Next up we have The Front Runner, a photo finish, and A False Start all by Miss Elsie Silver. She is
one of my favorite romance authors at the moment just because I'm a really really big fan of her
Chestnut Spring series and I am keeping up with her newest series but these books I haven't read
yet and basically they take place in the same universe as all of her other series. It's Elsie
Silver. I feel like no matter what I love all of her books. She just writes really fun small town
cowboy type of romances and the Chestnut Spring series was the series to really get me into cowboy
romances. I never once thought that I would like that type of, you know, genre or aesthetic. Her
series made me fall in love with like the mountain cowboy life. Next up we have The Queen of Nothing
and How the King of Elpham Learned to Hate Stories. These are by Holly Black and this is book three in
the Cruel Prince trilogy and then this is kind of like its own separate novella I guess you could
say. I have both of these left on my list to read and then I know there's so many other books that
she has written that I believe are also part of the universe. I can't wait to read them. I actually
was super surprised at how much I enjoyed The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King. So different
compared to the other fantasy books I've read but so good. We have Wild River by Laura Pavlov. This
is book two in the Magnolia Falls Chronicles. I'm gonna get to this book. I feel like it's coming
soon. We're in springtime. We're getting into summertime. This gives off springy vibes in my
opinion. We have Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Fairies and Emily Wilde's Map of the Other Lands.
These are books I've had at my TBR for a very long time. This one I actually started recently and then
I soft dnf'd it just because it wasn't really sticking for me at the time and again with like
moving and everything I feel like I just wasn't in the right mindset to pick up a book like this.
I definitely want to go back in restart it and give it a try because it seems like such a fun
and different type of concept. Basically we have Emily Wilde. She is a professor I think from
Cambridge. She is a professor from Cambridge and in book one specifically she travels to this small
town that is supposed to have this section or little you know world of fairies that no one has
yet studied. So she goes there in hopes of learning all these new things and discovering new things
about the fairy people in the fairy life. Her academic rival also ends up following her to the
town and I think like a whole bunch of like crazy but fun little things happen. It was getting far
too dark. We're just gonna have to hang in here with this with this horrible lighting. Oh my gosh.
Anyways I also have book two and I have book two because of the Barnes and Noble special edition
I am obsessed with. I love it so much more than the hardcover. I have book one. I have book two.
I will probably get book three when this edition comes out for it. I feel like they're gonna be
great books for this spring and summer time just because I feel like when it comes to reading fairy
type of books I love reading them during the spring. I don't know why springtime screams fairy
time for me but it just does. I'm so excited for these. These are the new Hunger Games special
editions that just came out recently. Look how beautiful. Could we take a moment for these
beautiful stunning books. I have been waiting for them to do something like this my entire life. I'm
not gonna lie. I did not like the original covers of the Hunger Games books. They have never been
my favorite and these are only on my physical tbr because I want to reread them. I have read
the series. I read it back when it was coming out as movies. Loved it so so much. I was one of those
girls who you know was going to the midnight premieres of the Hunger Games. It's definitely
a series that I grew up with but also like made me who I am today. I was so excited when I saw
these announced and then when I saw them hit the shelves I immediately picked them up and I am so
excited to reread them and then of course everyone right now is jumping on the newest book that just
came out. I can't wait to get to that point. I really can't and I'm so excited for the movies
and everything in between but next up we have the Kingmaker series year one two and three. These are
by Sophie Lark as well. I have not read these just yet but they are books I do want to read because
they are basically the spin-off books to the Brutal Birthright series. Demi a Spiral by Bal
Cabra. This is book two. Book one I believe is Collide and this is a cutie little hockey romance.
It's about a hockey player and a ballerina. Love it so much because it's a ballerina and I love
ballet so I feel like this is gonna be a lot of fun and of course you guys know I love hockey
romances. I'm not really that surprised. I have not gotten to this book yet. It's like almost 900 pages.
In all seriousness though I actually have not gotten to the Crescent City books yet. I'm currently
working on the Throne of Glass series so this series is coming up soon for me. Dispels Love by
Kate Robb. This is like a fun like magic witchy type of romance that I'm saving for the fall time
and we have The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern. I was just drawn in everything about it. The cover,
the title. I was like okay I gotta get it. I have to see what it's about. The Most Wonderful Crime
of the Year by Allie Carter. Saving this for holiday time. I actually got this in December
of last year but I just didn't get around to it for some reason. I feel like I took a little break
from reading during December just because it's holiday time and there's so much going on. It's
also my birthday. It's the end of the year. I didn't end up reading this but I feel like it'd
be a really fun one to read during Christmas time because it takes place during the holidays but
it's supposed to be a rom-com-y type of murder mystery. Not usually my typical pickup read for
the holidays but because it's kind of on the rom-com-y side I think I'd really like it. We
have The Wishing Game by Meg Schaefer. Another spooky witchy book for Halloween time. Hello
Stranger by Catherine Senter. This is an author I hear such good things about. I have to try one of
her books out because everyone raves about her writing and her romances and I feel like I would
be one of them. Attemptus of Tea. This is a special edition from Fairyloot. I remember it being a book
that I got last year but I didn't know too much about it so I didn't jump into it right away.
Now that it's been a little bit over a year I have heard people say like some good things,
some bad things. Definitely a book that I need you guys to push me to pick up because it's one of
those books that just kind of sits on my shelf looking pretty. We have The Fairy by Alex Michaelides.
This is a book that I think I did start but again I like softie-enacted or something and it's just
because like I wasn't really in the mood for this type of storyline. He's the author of The Silent
Impatient which was like a really really popular book talk book. I want to give this one a try. The
God of the Woods by Liz Moore. This is another murder mystery that I originally was really
intrigued about because it takes place in the Adirondacks. I thought it'd be really cool to
read about but then I never picked it up because I'm kind of a chicken and I was like I don't know
if I really want to read a murder mystery that takes place like so close to home for me. Then
we have The Ministry of Time. This is really cool and different. It's a book that I had seen a lot
of people say okay things about. It's a book I decided to keep because I feel like it'd be a
little bit outside of my comfort zone to read it. Butcher and Blackbird by Bryn Weaver. This is a
very popular series. Everyone loves it for the most part I think. I think book two or book three
is a book that people are actually kind of skeptical on but I haven't picked it up just yet
because I'm kind of nervous about it because I know it's like basically about serial killers
falling in love. So that's a book I definitely need the push to pick up. You Again by Kate
Goldbeck. This is going to be so fun to read in the fall time. Like look at this book. It's giving
all the fall vibes. Spells for Forgetting by Adrienne Young. I hung on to this book. I've had
it since I want to say 2022 maybe. I decided to hang on to it because I literally know I would
love this book. It's just a matter of me picking it up. We have The Paradise Problem by Christina
Lauren. I don't know why I haven't read this yet. Then we have The Five Star Weekend by Ellen
Hildebrand. I would love to read this at the beach this summer. I feel like it'd be so vibey. I read
A Murder Mystery by her this past fall and I also watched the Netflix show for it. So good. Next up
we have the Love Light Farm series by BK Borgeson. I have not read these books yet and I want to read
them so bad but I honestly need your opinion on them. If you've read this series before, do I have
to read them in publishing order or can I read them in like a mix match order because I don't
want to start with Love Light Farms because it takes place during the holiday time and I feel
like it'd be more fun to read it during the holiday time. One Last Shot by Betty Coyote. This is so
cute. This was an Afterlight Monthly book for me. I'm obsessed. Look how gorgeous these edges are. I
think Afterlight Books is probably one of the best book subscriptions I've ever been a part of. I
haven't read this one just yet. I feel like it'd be a lot of fun to read during the summer time.
It's basically a second chance trope about two friends who I think made a pact in the past to
get married or be together if by a certain age they didn't find love or something like that.
War and Famine book two and three of the Four Horsemen series. Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey.
This is so cute. First of all, the edition is very cute. It's another Afterlight book if you couldn't
tell, but Fangirl Down is a fun little golf romance. I love golfing, especially going with
Chris during the summer time. It's one of our favorite, favorite things to do. So this feels
like a really fun book to even bring along when we go golfing. My only gripe is that it's Tessa
Bailey and Tessa Bailey, very much like Emily Henry, is kind of an iffy author for me. I feel
like I'm always caught between liking her books and not liking her books. Next we have First Time
Caller by BK Gorsan. This is her newest romance and this was actually one of my last Afterlight
special editions I got. This is also a book that people are really enjoying at the moment, so I'm
very excited to start it myself. In the inside character art, I also am just obsessed with the
book cover itself. So pretty. I just love the color scheme, I guess. I love the pinks and oranges and
I'm pretty sure this is a story about two people who literally fall in love, like over a radio
show or something. I feel like that's really cute and just different. You don't really read stories
like that. Next up I have Bite Me, Royce Taslim. I have wanted to read this for such a long time
because it seems like such a fun enemies to lovers. Basically our FMC in this is trying to get
a scholarship into her dream school, but I think something crazy happened. She doesn't end up getting
it and she has to come up with a different way to get it. She essentially enters into this comedy
show that I think will help her get into the school she wants to go to and Royce Taslim is basically
like her rival in the story and I think he goes up against her or something silly like that. I don't
know. I just feel like this is gonna be so fun though. We have The Breakup Pact by Emma Lord.
This is a book I don't actually know that much about. It was just one of my monthly Afterlight
books and I haven't gotten around to it just yet. Inside artwork is so cute. It's basically like a
gossip headline paper or something. I don't know too much about it. I don't think I've ever heard
of Emma Lord before as well, so if you have, let me know what you think. We have To All The Boys I've
Loved Before by Jenny Han. This is her famous, famous trilogy that so many of us have probably
fallen in love with on Netflix. I really loved the movies on Netflix, so when I saw that I could get
them as books, I obviously decided to hop on it. I haven't read the books yet. I'm kind of nervous,
but I do hear people saying that they actually prefer the books over the movies. They are so
dreamy and just pretty. We're cruising, guys. We're cruising. Next up, we have All Roads Lead Here and
The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata. This is an author as well as books I've heard
such good things about. The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is a football romance. I'm hoping to read it
this year during football season because I feel like it'd be a lot of fun. It's essentially about
an assistant to a football player and how they fall in love and then All Roads Lead Here I think
is a small town type of romance, but also I think our main characters are both very spontaneous and
like to travel. My Silver Lining by Laura Pavlov. This is actually part of her newest series, the
Rosewood River series. Story of My Life by Lucy Skor. This is actually a book that I can show you
guys. I have my bookmark in it because I was planning on starting it either today or tomorrow.
Just looks and sounds so good. I just picked it up a few days ago. Next up, I have three books by
Maz Rafferty. The first two are a part of the series. We have Heir of Broken Fate and Heir of
Broken Kingdom. These are supposed to be really fun romanticy type of books and then she also
sent me Deadly Occupants, which is essentially supposed to be like a mix of Riverdale and Pretty
Little Liars and I think that is so cool because it's two of my favorite shows. I feel like I'd
really like this book. It's definitely a book I want to save for like the fall time and spooky
season just because of the type of vibes. We have City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. This is The
Mortal Instruments Book One. I can't wait to jump into this series, but if you're familiar with it,
you know it's like a massive, massive series, but when I was younger I saw the film for it and I
absolutely loved it. I was obsessed with Clary and Jace, so I can't wait to actually read the
book version because so many people didn't like the film and I did, so I'm assuming that the book
is probably like a gazillion times better. Then we have The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J Maas.
This is part of the Throne of Glass series. I've only read Throne of Glass out of that series,
so you're about to see a whole lot of the rest of it. We have The Fake Out by Stephanie Archer.
This is part of the Vancouver Storm series. Fun little hockey series that I obviously want to try
out because a lot of people were saying good things about it. This is book two. I don't know
if book one is in this pile or if it's wrapped up. It might be wrapped up. We have Cross the Line.
This is another Afterlight special edition I received. I am so excited for this book because
it kind of reminds me of the Dirty Air series and it's about F1 drivers, so this is kind of giving
a similar vibe to that and it kind of makes me excited, but this edition is also just so so
pretty. We have Killjoy by Holly Jackson. This is actually a novella to A Good Girl's Guide to
Murder. Next up we have book one and book two from Crescent City. We talked about book three earlier.
These are the other books I have and they are the Barnes & Noble special editions that I was
obsessed with when they came out. I just like how simple and minimalistic they are without the text
on the covers. I just think it's so so cool. More Throne of Glass books. We have Air of Fire,
Crown of Midnight, Empire of Storms, and Queen of Shadows. On top of that we also have the Addicted
and Calloway Sister series. I still have five books to go in that series which is absolutely
crazy because I feel like I've read so much of it already. I hope as we keep going I start to like
Lily and Lo's story a little bit more. I remember when we started reading the Calloway Sister series
I was kind of getting frustrated with Lo. His character gets a little bit irritating. We have
Wild Side by Elsie Silver. This is book three in the Rose Hills series. I actually got an ARC for it
which is so so cool and I am so excited to read it. I have seen a little bit of like iffier things
on this one but I'm very excited and like intrigued with it. We have the last three books in the
Off Campus series by Elle Kennedy. The Legacy, The Cool, and The Score. These I cannot wait to get to
but I've also just been living in The Deal for the past two years which I know sounds crazy but
I was just so obsessed with that book and I was so obsessed with Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells
that I didn't want to move on to the other books and then when I did I was super super disappointed
with John Logan and Grace so that's why I haven't moved on to these ones just yet but I'm hoping to
wrap up the series this year especially with them announcing doing a new movie and all of that. Then
I have the If Love series by Anna Hong. We have book one, book two, book three, and book four and each
one is actually really cool because it takes place in a different city. We have The Darkness Within
Us by Tricia Levenseller. This is a special edition from Fairylou and then I actually have just like
a normal edition from Barnes & Noble. Both are so stunning in my opinion and they also both have
sprayed edges. This is supposed to be a fun like romanticy type of read. I'm pretty sure it's about
a girl who is trying to like outwit her future husband or something. She's basically plotting
against him. I think his grandson or something shows up and starts getting very sus with her
and a whole crazy thing happens. Sounds so fun, so different, and I've heard such good things about
Tricia Levenseller. I know there's also like a book two in this series as well but we also have
The Dagger in the Flame by Katherine Doyle which was the first book we talked about in this video
but this is the Fairyloot special edition and I'm obsessed. This is absolutely stunning. Starling
House by Alex Haro. This is also gorgeous. It's a book that I did start briefly and softy and
upped it just because the writing style was a little bit off for me but I definitely want to
give it another try because I've seen such positive reviews on it. These Infinite Threads by Tara
Moffey. I'm pretty sure I have book one wrapped up. This is a newer series of her and I am obsessed
with the Shatter Me series so I decided to pick up her new series. I just really enjoy her writing
style. It's definitely one of those fast-paced easygoing writing styles that, again, you just
get sucked into her books and her characters. I'm pretty sure the whole series is also like a
Persian type of romanticy and I feel like it's gonna be so so good. We have The Cinnamon Bun
Bookstore and The Christmas Tree Farm by Laura Gilmore. These are very popular, cutesy little
books that I feel like everyone's been reading recently because her books have just been blowing
up mainly because of the covers. They're so adorable. The romances are small town romances.
We get some good grumpy meets sunshine, enemies to lovers, second chance tropes in here. I also
noticed when we read book one that she's starting to develop a found family trope in it as well.
Very excited to keep going in her series. I know she just came out with a new spring one as well.
More Throne of Glass books except these are like the chunky boys. We have A Fate Inked in Blood by
Daniel L. Jensen. I did talk about this book earlier on as well. This is a special edition
that I got from my Probably Smut box a few months back and very different from the normal cover.
It's so minimalistic but I really like the design of it. Butcher in Blackbird by Bryn Weaver. This
is my Darkly box special edition. I could not part ways with this edition because I feel like
if I end up loving the book I'm definitely gonna want this edition so I'm hanging on to it. The
Unmaking of June Far Out by Adrienne Young, another Adrienne Young book. And we have Never by
Jessa Hastings. This is the same author from the Magnolia Park series but it's like a Peter Pan
reimagining or retelling and I originally got it when it came out and then everyone was saying
really really bad things about it so I've kind of been hanging on to it. I haven't read it just yet
because of all the bad reviews but I feel like it's still one I would really enjoy because I love
like Disney retellings and stuff like that. Last but not least we have Silver Tongue Devil and
Devil in Boots. It's a duology put into one book which I thought was so cool. Also this edition
is absolutely stunning. It's giving off Pirates of the Caribbean vibe. I haven't read it just yet
but I've been hanging on to it because I love Pirates of the Caribbean and it kind of gives
off a similar vibe so I feel like I'd really like this. That brings us to the end of today's video
though. We officially went through every single book that is on my physical TBR which is so so
crazy and total amount of books on my physical TBR as of right now is 156 books so just a teeny
bit over 150 books. I think the first time I ever did this video was like two years ago and I'm
pretty sure I had like over 200 books so we've made a lot of progress since then. Obviously I've
brought a lot of new books in so we're still up there. We're still over 150 but at the same time
we've read so many books in that time and I'm just so proud of myself. I love reading. I love
collecting books. I love book shopping. You guys know that. I know for some people having such a
large physical TBR is crazy and can bug them but for me personally, I love having so many
incredible books to choose from. If you're feeling twirly though, comment down below how many books
you have on your physical TBR and don't be shy. With all that being said though, I love you guys
so so much and I'll see you in the next one!
