Bloomberg Philanthropies Donates $6 Million to World Central Kitchen | Mike Bloomberg
For the past decade, Chef Jose Andres has helped to feed communities in need all around the world.
His organization, World Central Kitchen, hasn't just put food in people's stomachs,
it has helped feed their sense of hope and ease a little of the stress and anxiety they are facing.
Today I'm glad to announce that Bloomberg Philanthropies is teaming up
with Chef Andres and the World Central Kitchen.
Our new partnership will provide daily meals to all the men and women who work at the 16 public
hospitals and long-term care facilities on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis in New York
City. Day after day, they are risking their lives to save ours. The least we can do is help keep
them fed and maybe give them one less thing to worry about. So in addition to cheering for them
at 7 p.m. every night, this is one way our whole team at Bloomberg Philanthropies can say,
with all our hearts, thank you.
