Crystal Palace U21 2-4 Chelsea U21 | HIGHLIGHTS | PL2 2024/25

Here's Samuel Smith. It's a decent ball that for Ronnie Stutter. He's got options in the middle and one of them's Genesis Antwi and he touches Chelsea into the lead. Not even 20 minutes gone and the Blues ahead already. Really well worked goal as well. Lovely ball from Samuel Smith and then Stutter just flicked it with the outside of his boot and Antwi couldn't miss. Dyer's corner. Everybody attacking it. Samuel Smith has a go. That's a good save from Louis Molden. McMahon down the line for Antwi. Stutter in the middle. It's a good ball as well. Oh and Stutter's header off the crossbar. So unlucky. Chelsea close to a second. Rodney. Marsh. Decent effort. Deflected away and then the shot's deflected too and Curd can't keep it out. Ademola Ola Adebomi brings Crystal Palace level. Didn't really look like scoring all night and they needed a slice of luck to do so here the Eagles. Samuel Smith has had an excellent game. McNeely's done well to take that away from Brown. Two defenders in his way here. Danelle McNeely but it doesn't matter. Terrific goal. Chelsea have their lead back. Palace were level for all of five minutes and Danelle McNeely has his 12th PL2 goal of the season. Excellent finish from Chelsea's number nine. Used his strength and his quality here. Nothing the goalkeeper could do. Samuel Smith. Samuel Smith's carried on his run and he returns it to Stutter. Oh how about that from Ronnie Stutter for his first goal of the season. Chelsea have scored twice in five minutes here to take the game away from Crystal Palace. That's a lovely finish from Stutter. Stabbed it beyond Maldon. Another well-worked Chelsea goal and Stutter's deserved that. Harrison going long. His fellow substitute Richard Alise. Flicked back in his direction by Hughes. It's Alise. It's four for Chelsea. Off the bench and onto the score sheet in stoppage time Richard Alise. Well taken goal. Hughes played his part in it too and Alise scoring against Palace will sting for the home side. So Chelsea are going to finish third at the end of the league phase then. And he's looking for a late consolation here. Mustafa couldn't get the shot away. Uma could and they do have one. And that might be the last kick of the game. A second goal for Palace. It doesn't mean much in the overall context of things. Chelsea will win it by four goals to two.
