In March of 2014 I set off to explore an old abandoned house discovered by my friend Ground State Photography.
Within minutes of settling in and setting up my camera, I spotted what looked like rolls of cash on the floor in the kitchen by a mattress that was propped up against a wall. I was right, there were 3-4 rolls of old US cash barely visible on the floor. Confused and somewhat concerned I continued my explore of the house, I would deal with the money later. What I would ultimately end up finding was a bag full of cash, old US and Canadian bills.
Now, three years later I have decided to return to the house to see what has become of it. Sad to see the house has fallen into much disrepair, attempts have been made to salvage some items of value, but other items of much value have sadly been left to the elements.
The most interesting thing that I discovered on this visit three years later was that every mattress in the house has been flipped, no doubt the family looking to see if there is more money hidden somewhere.
