Shen Yun Press Conference at Lincoln Center: Community Petition to DOJ & Response to Media Allegations

In this special press conference at Lincoln Center, Shen Yun Performing Arts brings to light a disturbing pattern of false bomb threats targeting our company on U.S. soil.

The conference was joined by Principal Dancer Piotr Huang, Principal Violist Rachel Chen, former Shen Yun dancer Alison Chen, alongside Kay Rubacek, mother of a current dancer, and her son Lee. Ms Rubacek formally presented a petition signed by 1,550 members of the Shen Yun community, including current and former performers, staff, and family members—to the U.S. Department of Justice, urging a full federal investigation into these acts of intimidation.

We also address a wave of media allegations and misrepresentations that have sought to distort our mission and values. As artists dedicated to reviving traditional Chinese culture through music and dance, we speak out—not only for ourselves but also for the freedom to create and perform without fear.

This is a call for truth, safety, and artistic freedom on American soil.
