What is up guys, Tim the Saint here, happy to be back with another video
and today we're talking about five go-to color combinations that will never fail you.
When you wake up after hitting the snooze button four times with only 15 minutes to
make breakfast, shower, and get dressed, well you just don't really have time to think about
how to mix and match colors to put together a decent outfit. Luckily there are a couple
of color combos that for the most part will always work together.
White and blue are two classic colors in menswear and they pair beautifully together.
This combination is arguably the most versatile one since it really works no matter the season
or time of the day. From a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans channeling your inner James Dean
to a more sophisticated navy blue suit over a crisp white shirt
and everything in between, you can't go wrong pairing these two colors together.
The richness of burgundy pairs amazingly well with the dark inky navy blue. Plus these analogous
colors are great if you're a short guy like me as the lower contrast streamlines your look and
makes you seem taller. This color pairing lends itself very well to more minimal sophisticated
looks. Think burgundy roll neck under a navy suit or a burgundy bomber over navy trousers and a
neutral top. Camel is a great color to add visual interest to an otherwise all-black outfit. The
black provides a solid base and the camel does a great job catching your eye and making the outfit
instantly more memorable. I would recommend sticking to a 70-30 ratio in favor of black.
You want to build your all-black outfit as usual but finish off with an accent piece in camel.
I personally love the look of a camel overcoat over an all-black outfit.
Sometimes nature itself can be a great indicator of naturally complementing colors.
Brown and green, like the majority of earth tones, go very well together. Feel free to
experiment with different shades of brown and pair them with greens that are present in nature
like olive green, forest green, or even lime green if your skin complexion allows it.
And lastly, you can go monochrome with a classic combination of black and white.
It's a timeless pairing that surely won't go out of style. I find its appeal to be in the
fact that this color combo works in pretty much any style or situation. From the most
formal black tie events to streetwear looks, you can never go wrong with black and white.
So if you're like me and often find yourself standing in front of your closet debating what
to wear, make sure to bookmark these color pairings or put a sticky note on the inside
of your closet. That way you'll always have a couple of fail-proof color combos that you know
you can rely on. I hope that you enjoyed the video guys. Smash that like button if you did,
