I tried entering this abandoned house years ago but could not get in without causing damage, so I left. Earlier this year someone broke in and this allowed explorers to go in and see it without causing damage.
Is entering the home after someone else cause the damage just as bad as causing the damage?
This house is full of artifacts from the owner's music collection, spanning from the 1920s to the current day. The house is an interesting and unique example of a time capsule house, and we explore it in detail in this video!
Today we're visiting an amazing abandoned time capsule house that was once lived in by a lover of music. Inside were several old albums, a piano, guitar cases and the person may have also been a music teacher.
What's up guys.
Welcome back to another Freaktography Abandoned House Adventure.
We're going to call this one the Abandoned Music Lovers House
or something like that.
Basically, guys, Abandoned House, we've got a piano.
We've got all kinds of music related stuff throughout the house.
We have empty guitar cases, but no guitars.
We have so much vinyl records all over the house,
and they're in such bad shape, guys.
Breaks my heart as a record collector to see so much vinyl
scattered about the house in such rough shape.
You guys are going to really like this one.
This time, we're going to really focus on details.
We will do some of the wider room stuff, but here, guys,
we got lots of details to go through.
So let's get right to it.
Cue the music. Cue the intro.
See you guys on the other side.
OK, here we go, guys, we're going to get started, get right to it.
We're going to start right here with the, in my opinion,
the most impressive scene of the whole house, which is this living room.
It's a dual level living room.
You've got a piano and then you've got some nice chairs up top.
You've got a record player up above.
We're going to go through and see it, but we are going to start here
in the most impressive room with the nicest site in the house.
So we'll just do a little bit of of a pan here and we'll go around here.
We've got a little bit of a cabinet here with some books and an atlas.
And we've got unfortunately that all the guitars are gone.
There's a couple of guitar cases in the house.
But sadly, they're all empty of guitars.
I came across this house last year or the year before,
right around the same time of the year, and I checked it out,
but I wasn't able to get in to the house.
But it does seem that someone, well, they managed to smash their way
into multiple doors.
This door right here was most definitely not open.
As you can see, someone did screw the doors shut.
And this was the case when I got here three years ago.
But now, well, all of the doors have been completely kicked in by somebody.
Don't know who, but someone kicked open several doors.
That's not my style of exploring, guys.
If I get to a place and I can't get in, well, I just come back another time.
I leave. And hey, what have we got here?
What's up, guys? And what's up, guys?
So, yeah, I will leave.
And I mean, you know, there's debates to be had on
breaking into abandoned houses.
And I mean, am I any better having come into the house
after somebody else broke in for me?
It's a discussion that I've had many times in the past.
And I'm going to turn the camera on here for a second.
And so you see, guys,
if I approach this house and I kick that door in
and let's say there's a hidden camera somewhere or there's a trail
camera outside or a neighbor sees me because I am in a lot of trouble.
I will be in much more trouble if I'm caught kicking in a door
than if I'm just seen entering the house.
I'm still going to get in trouble, but not nearly as much.
So that's why it's not my style to smash windows, kick in doors.
But am I any better for entering the house after somebody else did?
I don't know.
That's a debate that has been had for several years
and a debate that will continue for many more years to come.
So moving along here, guys, we have a hutch here with some records.
We have the sound of music on vinyl right there.
Most of all, the records are in really bad shape.
And the one some of the ones that I have looked at the
they're they're missing the record
and the records are scattered all over the house or some some record
sleeves have other records in them that are not the record
that it's supposed to be, unfortunately.
So, yeah, so we have a really nice house here, guys.
I'm really going to like this one.
I think you guys are, too.
Here we got a big heap of cobwebs, if you can see it right there.
So let's head on in here.
We've got a nicely arranged and set up
living kitchen area, dining room.
Obviously, somebody else did that.
It wasn't me, but somebody else clearly did that
because I doubt that the house was not that well put together.
Seeing the condition of the house, we'll get on into the kitchen here
and we've got some juice and we've got some dishes in the sink.
Coffee maker.
So here's a box for a typewriter, which I found the typewriter somewhere else.
So I'll show you guys that typewriter in a little while,
but I'll just come on over here and I'll show you guys.
There's some vinyl on the floor there.
The records are just scattered everywhere and they're in such rough shape.
You've got Eric Clapton down here.
You've got Black Sabbath down there somewhere.
Black Sabbath Paranoid.
Here you've got Alice Cooper, Killer Album, Deep Purple,
History of Eric Clapton.
All of these records are trashed.
They are of no use to anyone.
They're they're done.
There are no good guys.
Got another one here.
We got Buck Owens
hanging out here in the corner.
So let's pan around.
We got some great wallpaper on that wall there.
And let's see, what do we got here?
Nothing in this cupboard here.
Nothing in this one here.
Anything up top? No.
What do we got here? Anything in here?
No. Those ones are all empty, guys.
Cobwebs, watch your head as we walk through here.
And here's an interesting little closet.
Tiny, tiny little cubby space closet right here.
And then we've got a bathroom.
Very blue.
And check this thing out here, guys, for doing your makeup, I guess.
For doing your makeup in the day, for going to the office for the evening.
That's pretty neat, eh?
What else is pretty neat?
Sup, guys?
And then on over here.
So there's a motorcycle helmet.
There's pictures all over the house of the gentleman who lived here on his motorcycle.
And then here is, well, that is for holding a snare drum, I believe.
This thing right here.
And then we've got all kinds of records scattered on the floor here.
Just a whole bunch of different records.
And there's also DVD movies everywhere.
Cassette tapes, all kinds of stuff.
Just scattered all over the house.
So we've got a biker.
We've got a music lover making our way on through here.
This room is completely screwed.
The roof is coming down.
And there is some furniture in here.
There's some speakers in the corner.
Who knows? There might be some records buried in this room somewhere.
Or some china.
But I'm not going in here because it's a mess.
It's dangerous.
It's not looking good in there, guys.
It's a shame.
I'm going to show you guys the garage, which is awesome.
Since we're here right now.
There's a bicycle here.
Totally covered with cobwebs.
And another shame is the basement is completely flooded.
So there's no getting into the basement to see what's going on down there.
Everything in the basement is underwater.
Look at this phone, though.
Isn't that cool? Rotary dial phone.
Neat, right?
OK, and as we pan around, there's some more stuff.
You've got a huge canoe right here in the middle of the room
of the middle of the garage.
Looks like it could be a nice one to fiberglass.
Got a barbecue over here.
And then we've got two organs.
I'll I'll just skip over here over.
And over to the other side.
There's a really big old organ right here.
And then a little small one right there.
There's two.
And let's see what else we haven't really looked in here.
I just kind of walked through here getting into the house,
so I haven't really looked much at what's in here.
Just got a bunch of books in there.
What's back here?
OK, so the ceiling has come down, as you'll see.
And the insulation is hanging where it got hung up on stuff,
but then all the insulation is just down here on the floor.
Well, we got a bunch of books here.
Picture atlases.
And that just looks like a bunch of furniture and stuff in here, guys.
All right, let's head back into the house
and we'll see what we can find inside.
That's more interesting than the garage.
All right.
So we're going to move back through the kitchen
into this area here, the sitting room area.
And I'll show you guys we got a skateboard there.
We got some drum skins there.
There's my camera bag and my coat speakers.
TV. All right.
There's a room back here that he used as a weight room.
For working out and stuff.
So he had a heavy bag hanging from from the ceiling right here.
We got a deflated speed bag right here.
And he's got some some boxing gloves.
He's got some rubber bands.
There's some weights right there.
And then heading on into here and he's got his little bench press kit here.
The old school style bench press.
You know what? Maybe I will rig this up.
I'll put the maybe I'll put the bar on the bench press.
I'll put the black weights on and maybe I'll give you guys a little urbex
gun show before we leave here, OK?
I think a few of you guys will definitely appreciate
a little bit of a gun show.
It's been a while since I've given you guys the gun show.
Too bad the heavy bag is gone.
Give you guys a lesson once again on how to hit the punching bag.
Know a few things about that.
OK, so before we get to the details, we're going to head upstairs
and I'll show you what's going on upstairs.
Here we go.
We have a dead something right here.
Can't figure out what it is,
but he's not around with us anymore.
This room is empty.
Well, it looks like it might be kind of valuable to somebody there, though, eh?
It's a shame to see somebody leave that there.
I've got another bedroom here.
This one's got a bed.
Let's see, what do we got?
Nothing. Blankets.
We got magazines.
Hmm. How to pick the sex of your child.
How to get an audience with the pope.
How to choose a federal prison.
How to bag a racehorse.
All right. Interesting.
I don't know if I believe any of that kind of stuff.
I don't know if you can pick that kind of stuff, hey?
All right. Next room is the best room up here.
Full of stuff.
We got music, sheet music on the floor.
What have we got here?
Sound of music. Souvenir folio.
I don't know what that is.
Interesting.
All right.
So first, we're going to start by our wide shots here.
So there's a hole in the roof right there.
And as we pan around.
Well, there's a big old mattress right here.
It's in the way.
No, if there's anything down there that's of any interest.
Is it TV back there?
DVD player.
Some VHS movies and DVDs on the floor
and pan around some more before
we get into the details.
World map.
OK, let's just keep panning.
We'll come back to the detailed stuff, like I keep saying.
And then it goes way back, back here.
This is where you have the most records.
Back in this room.
Like I said earlier, there's a lot of these records
that are not in their sleeves, which is unfortunate.
And we've got a picture
of dude on his motorcycle on the wall here.
And he's got a picture of Johnny Cash right there.
Looks like he might have went to Graceland.
OK, interesting stuff here.
We've got some ballet, some dancing,
just a dog's breakfast of stuff on the wall here.
Wonder what the relevance is of that playground.
Hmm. All right.
Here's a bunch of life magazines right here from over the years.
This is from 1964.
And so just a bunch of them here.
OK, then here we've got what looks like maybe a drafting table.
Full of more records and tapes and CDs and bottles.
Lantern here, right?
This is a heavy duty lantern.
Well, I'm guessing it doesn't work.
We got some clogs here.
Hey, check those out.
Clogs, but he was a photographer.
We've got a Nikon D7000 box and a lens over there.
Clearly long since removed from this house.
So here's what I'm talking about, guys.
When I was here and I tried to get in, every door was very, very well secured.
And as you can see, well, somebody came up the stairs here
and kicked the crap out of the door to make an entry into the house.
And so here you have it.
And then we have a bathroom.
Now, this is not good, guys.
I'm going to warn you guys right now.
I don't know what happened here, but someone was living in here
and pooping in this toilet without water, without the ability to flush.
And luckily it doesn't smell.
It's winter and the winter weather keeps things from smelling really bad.
But that is just disgusting, guys.
Yeah, that's what's up, guys.
OK, guys, so here's what I'm going to do now, since there's so much stuff
in this house, I'm not going to talk through what I'm seeing.
I'm just going to play some music and I'm going to focus on some stuff.
So we're going to do some detailed panning shots of up close stuff,
play some music, and then we'll come back and we'll do a little bit more.
So let's do that now, guys.
So play some music, grab yourself a drink, and we're going to see
what's interesting around the house. Let's go.
All right, guys, I told you we're going to do it.
We're going to do it. Urbex Guns, Urbex Fitness.
We're going to do a little bit of bench press here.
Let's go. OK, a little tight.
Here we go, guys. Ready?
Got to even her out here.
OK, we're doing about 30 pounds here, guys.
Oh, that's good.
Yeah.
Ooh, ah, ooh, ah, ooh, ah, ah, ooh, ah, that's good.
Oh, OK, got to get back in there.
OK, OK, now I've got to warm up here.
10-pound dumbbells here, 10 pounds.
Ready? Here we go.
Ah, ooh, ah, ooh, OK, switch arms.
Ah, ooh, ah, yeah, oh, yeah, OK.
Then, oh, I'm going a little heavier here, guys.
Oh, we got 8.8 pounds here, guys.
Ah, so this is almost 20 pounds.
Yeah, ooh, ah, switch arms.
Yeah, ooh, ah, yeah.
That's it, guys.
Just a short Urbex gun workout today.
I'm going to be doing this for about the next three hours.
So I'll see you guys later.
Thanks for watching.
Peace.
Ah, Urbex guns, mm.
I think I'm going to wrap it up here, guys.
We've pretty much seen it all.
It's a pretty interesting house.
Lots of good stuff to check out, just the way we like it.
So I hope you guys have enjoyed this one as much as I have.
So we're going to wrap it up, keep it short.
Thanks so much for watching, guys.
Please do all the things.
I don't just say these things.
I need you to do them, guys.
Like, comment, share.
