Hey everyone, I'm Jeff Teague.
I'm in Plano, Texas this week.
We're going to talk about changes just announced 2023 Toyota RAV4, RAV4 hybrid.
Little bit of prime news.
Let's go.
This week is called Toyota HQC, Headquarter Confidential.
That's where we're going to find out what's new for 2023.
We're going to have some good stuff for Toyota and for Lexus brands.
So stay tuned to Toyota Jeff Reviews.
And also please subscribe right now to Auto Jeff Reviews because some of that
information is going to be on Auto Jeff Reviews.
All right.
So let's get started for 2023 RAV4 across all trim levels.
We're going to have the new Toyota audio multimedia system.
We've seen this on Sequoia, Tundra, and on more and more Toyotas for 2023.
So this is going to have faster processing times.
Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android auto, the ability to do voice
commands almost in a conversational way.
I think you're going to like that one.
And then we've got some different multimedia size screens, which I
believe goes up to 10.5 inches.
I'll have a breakdown in just a minute at the end, but we've also got Toyota
Safety Sense 2.5 on the RAV4 family now.
Woo!
RAV4 family.
That's big news.
And then we've also got a special edition, a Toyota RAV4 hybrid edition,
the Toyota RAV4 hybrid woodland edition.
This is the first off-roading capable RAV4, real off-roading capable RAV4 hybrid.
So I'm excited to see this one too.
I'm going to go ahead and read from the press release here.
It says Toyota is taking the RAV4 hybrid to a whole new level of adventure with
the new 2023 woodland edition equipped with everything needed for an outdoor
excursion.
The RAV4 hybrid woodland edition is the first hybrid off-road special
edition SUV for the brand.
So that's exciting.
Let's go a little bit closer here.
It says the new RAV4 hybrid woodland edition available in three colors,
midnight black metallic, cavalry blue, and ice cap.
Don't know about ice cap.
That'll be interesting.
I mean, I can kind of imagine that it'd be like a grayish bluish, maybe similar
to ice edge, that type of a thing.
It offers a distinctively rugged exterior and premium interior styling with the
versatile features one would expect with the fifth generation RAV4.
Featuring a TRD tuned suspension, the RAV4 hybrid woodland edition is
engineered to enhance body control and small bump isolation to help smooth out
trails and rough city streets.
Coil springs are tuned for an off-road focus and bump stops maximize
compression direction.
Wheel travel.
The twin tube shocks feature internal rebound springs for optimal roll control
and unique valving to help body control over large bumps and dips.
It looks like this one's going to come standard with Falcon Wildpeak
all-terrain tires for optimal off-roading, raised black roof rails, and
a 120 volt inverter to power up an array of compatible household items for a short
day trip or overnight camping excursion.
Other mentionable standard features include flow form bronze colored wheels
for greater strength, custom all weather floor and cargo mat, black badging, black
mud guards, dual black chrome tip exhaust.
This hybrid is going to come with the 2.5 liter four cylinder engine along with
electric motor power, gives you 219 net hybrid horsepower.
I don't believe the press release said that, but I think we can all assume that
it's going to be that.
A continuously variable transmission paired with an electronic all wheel drive
system.
And this one here, I'm going to go ahead.
It's all about the multimedia screens and also the multi-information display.
It looks like it goes from an eight inch multimedia screen all the way to 10.5
inches.
And then we've got the 12.3 inch multi-information display.
That'll be standard on some of them.
And then let's see, it's an optional upgrade on some trim levels and then a
seven inch multimedia or multi-information display screen is going to be standard
on some of the, we'll call them lower trim levels, although it's hard to call
them lower trim levels, but I mean, I guess that's what they are.
So yeah, here we go.
This is my view.
I'm excited for this week.
Can't wait to show you the content.
What's going to be new.
You haven't seen them yet for Toyota, for Lexus, check out Toyota Jeff Reviews
YouTube channel and Auto Jeff Reviews YouTube channel.
I'll have short little videos on Instagram and TikTok, Auto Jeff Reviews, Toyota
Jeff Reviews.
Whoop whoop.
This is exciting.
Woo.
Wonder if they mind me doing that in the hotel room.
But anyway, what do you think of RAV4 changes?
It's kind of cool because we've got a little interior refresh as far as the
multimedia, multi-information display.
We've got Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which is what people have been asking for is an
update to that.
And then we've also got that Toyota audio multimedia system as well as the
woodland edition.
This is pretty cool.
I can't wait to see that ice cap car.
But anyway, thanks guys so much.
I will see you next time.
We're going to do this hotel stuff.
