Kanye Tells the Story of How He Courted Kim on Grammys Red Carpet

First of all, I gotta say, you all look absolutely fantastic. Thank you. Thank you so much. Are you excited about tonight? Very, very excited. What do you want to see inside of the performances? What's going on? I'd like to see Madonna perform. I like, yeah. I'm excited to see Kanye perform Only One. I know everyone's really hyped for the Rihanna, Paul McCartney performance, but I'm excited to see the solo. I think that'll be really special. And a Super Bowl, that was an amazing performance. I saw you watch it. She, like, turned into a fan. I've never seen Kim watch you perform. What? Yeah. She's come to a few shows before, before we were together. That's how I got her. I put on a whole Watch the Throne concert just so I could court Kim Kardashian and turn her into Kim Kardashian West. That's like, I need Jay-Z to be my rap partner. I need a cube with some shark tanks. You know, it worked out. And I gotta say, congratulations to you. I was there for the BET Honors and the award that you were given. It was absolutely incredible. How did that make you feel, being honored in that way? Sometimes it feels funny, because I've had to deal with so much, you know, negative energy and being misunderstood. And I really had to just, I had to pull my words together so people could really understand that I'm not only not just about myself. I'm about humanity. How can we make the world better? What I do, my music or my presentation, clothing, what I do. So I think it's cool. And have you all been enjoying the weekend? I saw you all at the Roc Nation brunch. That's like, I mean, the couples, you had J and B, and then it gets you all, and then Rihanna in the building. That just takes you to an overload. It was fun. I'm just, it's the Grammy weekend, so I'm just here with him. It was like the old Puff White parties. It was like, it was like Freaknik.
