Why I Dance with Shen Yun Despite The Threats Against Us

What happens when a peaceful performing arts group becomes the target of transnational repression?

In this video, I share my personal story of what happened when a fake bomb threat disrupted one of our Shen Yun performances — and why it’s part of a larger pattern of harassment and intimidation by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its proxies.

From being locked out of the theater and warming up in a parking lot, to cooperating with local police and waiting for a K-9 unit just 50 minutes before showtime — this experience was a reminder that the fight for freedom isn’t just happening overseas. It’s happening right here, on American soil.

I also share why I perform with Shen Yun, my family’s story of persecution in China, and how this performance became a personal stand for truth, compassion, and justice.
