Hi there. Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening wherever you are watching from.
In this video, I'll show you how to use one of the best AI tools for academic writing.
Co-Writer AI. Co-Writer AI enhances productivity by streamlining
the writing process with AI-powered auto-completion, formatting assistance, and customizable writing
styles. It boosts originality, saves time and simplifies content creation, making it
ideal for students, professionals, and writers who want efficient, high-quality results for
academic, blog, or e-book writing. Right now, we're looking at Co-Writer's landing page.
Let me give you a quick preview. At the bottom, you'll notice it's trusted by students and
professionals from institutions like Stanford, UCL, Manchester, and Liverpool. Here are some
key benefits. Efficiency, originality, time-saving, and versatility. For me, originality stands
out the most. Starting from scratch is hard, but Co-Writer makes it much more manageable.
Let's dive into the features. We've got AI-powered auto-completion, formatting assistance, a
robust library, writing styles and tones, and my favorite, the outline builder. You
get everything from the introduction to the conclusion and so much more. Now let's try
it out for free. ChatGPT powers this tool, and we have two options to start. I'll proceed
with the middle one and log in using a Google account. Welcome back. This is the inside
of Co-Writer. To begin, click on New Document. Here, you'll see it asks for a prompt, and
a prompt strength indicator helps you gauge your prompt's effectiveness. I've prepared
a sample prompt. Write an essay on how AI affects critical thinking skills. Add citations
and keep it under 600 words. As you can see, the prompt's strength is muscular. And now
we'll click to start. The Co-Writer generates the outline for you, introduction, understanding,
and more. Just hover your mouse over each section, and AI will generate content. For
instance, in the introduction, we get a detailed sentence. Let's see how it works for the next
section. Look at that. Critical thinking skills are essential for making well-informed
decisions. You can easily edit or adjust each part. I'll show you some additional tools,
such as AI Assistant, citation options, textiles, undo, redo, and more. Let's test the AI Assistant
for the introduction. You can improve clarity, simplify, paraphrase, and even expand on details.
For now, I'll accept the AI's suggestions. Remember, if you're unsatisfied, you can always
ask it to rewrite. Now let's play around with editing. You can cite, use numbered or bullet
lists, change font styles and embed links. Let's add a citation. On the right, it opens
up citation options, and you can choose to add, exclude, or even open the source. You
can also add custom references, choose the type of content, title, publication, and so
on. For simplicity, I'll stick with the suggested citations for now and show you more of the
tools above. You can upload images from your computer or choose stock images. I upload
an image from my desktop, and in a few moments, it's embedded right into the document. It's
easy and effective. You don't have to complete everything in one go. You can accept sections
you're happy with and leave the rest. Just a note, the reference feature is only available
for paid subscriptions. Let me quickly show you the pricing. The yearly subscription is
$11 a month, while the monthly one is $20. I'd recommend going for the annual plan if
you're serious about using CoWriter, as it saves you almost 50%. Before we wrap up, let's
export our document. You can choose PDF or HTML. I'll go with PDF as it's quick and straightforward.
Here's our completed PDF document. That's a wrap. Thank you so much for watching. Don't
forget to hit the like button and subscribe for more AI tutorials. I'll catch you in the
next one. Goodbye for now.
