Duhfactor and I had a good time putting these videos together. Here is are some outtakes and trivia into my thought process behind the ideas. And if you somehow missed them check out these links:
I need the milk, Damon. The milk!
God, that's hot!
Go again!
Go again, I gotta redo that.
Hot!
That milk. Warm milk, dude.
Go for it.
Do it maybe one more time.
Okay, do it with one of these.
Like a huge over-exaggerate.
What the hell?
Ah, that stinks.
Hey guys, a while ago, a company called LS2 got in touch with me about doing some helmet reviews for them.
And I said, yeah, sure, send them.
And I had a Skype call with this guy, with my contact there.
And he told me about all the features so that I could have like some talking points for the video.
And then I got to thinking that I didn't really want to do a review video.
Because review videos are super boring.
I wanted to do like a fun, wacky, crazy video.
And I told my contact at LS2 that I didn't want to do a review video.
And he said, you know what, that's fine.
You do whatever you want.
And I warned him that it could get weird.
And he said, I want the half-throttle magic.
So do whatever you want to do.
So I came up with the Steamed Milk and the Feedbag.
Steamed Milk was going to be fine.
It was like an easy way for me to quickly show a bunch of different helmets.
The Feedbag one was pretty weird though.
It's the kind of thing that companies release on April Fool's Day.
Fake products.
And so I've made an audio recording of me doing the pitch.
Which is a knockoff of Dan Aykroyd selling the Super Basimatic 76 on Old School Saturday Night Live.
If there's any old school fans out there.
And I sent it to him just because I didn't want to waste my time filming it.
If he was like, nah, that's going to get me fired.
Because I didn't want him to get in trouble.
So he said that he loved it.
And that I should do it.
So I did it.
And then I put that little clip at the end where there's a catheter.
There's a catheter at the very end.
And I made the video unlisted and sent it to him.
So he could give his stamp of approval.
And he said do it.
So he said it was hilarious.
So I just want to say thanks to LS2 for letting me be as weird as I wanted to be.
There's a lot of companies that would have been afraid to do something weird like that.
So that's the story I guess.
I think.
But I'd say drop the barcodes.
Oh, some trivia.
I wanted to talk about some trivia about these videos.
Because there's one scene where I dump a whole bottle of pills into the feet bag.
That bottle of pills.
I'm actually a member of the Iron Butt Association.
I did 1500 miles in 24 hours or less.
Nearly killed me.
But when I did that in 2008, I bought those pills.
And I never used them.
It was an unopened bottle of pills that expired in like 2010.
I bought them in 2008.
And I thought they'd just been kind of bouncing around inside of my tank bag since 2008.
So I busted out the tank bag.
Got those pills.
Thought it'd be funny to dump some no-dose into the feed bag to keep me awake.
I make a lot of jokes about Starbucks, right?
And how often I go there because I'm a GS rider.
But you should know that I've only spent money at Starbucks twice.
And the first one was a few months ago when Duff Factor was helping me make a video about what it's like to be a GS rider.
And all that stuff.
The second time was that steamed milk which I spit everywhere.
So I'm not a big coffee drinker.
