Trolling Huge Baits Behind the Kayak - Destin Florida Kayak Fishing. Targeting sharks from the kayak is quickly becoming one of my favorite ways to fish. I set out that afternoon with thunderstorms all round in hopes of catching some large live baits like ladyfish or bluefish so I could troll them behind the kayak for something much bigger. Fortunately right before dusk I caught a nice sized ladyfish that would be perfect for attracting a large predator! So I rigged it up and pedaled around until something bit.
