Wednesday's Weather Forecast

[Music] and now the 22 News Storm Team forecast and good Wednesday morning time now is 4:47 we're taking a live look out in Westfield for now you can see the flags barely moving we got a nice uh looking visibility nothing really fog wise to worry about and overall the morning commute looks good no matter where you are across much of Western Massachusetts chape also looking not that bad out there for now we got a a partly cloudy sky at the moment I do expect that we'll see some sun as we go through the morning and then maybe the clouds will build back in as we go towards the afternoon I can't roll out the chance for maybe a passing shower again later today but I would say similar to yesterday most of us will likely stay dry so I would go into the day not expecting to see any showers but if you see a Sprinkle or Flur later today I I think the best chance of that would be back towards the birk shears and I'll talk more about that in just a moment we got the breeze nice and calm out there for now temperatures are in the 20s to near 30s so it's a chilly start 28 in Springfield 27 in Northampton 30 is the temperature in Greenfield slightly below average for the morning temperatures this time year usually were're in the low3s uh towards the end of March so temperatures in the 20s right now a little cooler than usual when it comes to the morning as we go throughout the rest of the day here we'll get into the upper 40s to low 50s as we go towards the afternoon the ATI temperature this time of year is 50° so we'll be right around average for today taking a live Lookout towards West Springfield here going throughout the day I'm going to call it a sun and Cloud mix I do we'll see some sun this morning clouds will begin to develop as we go towards the afternoon there could be a again an afternoon mixed shower even a a rain shower or flurry can't be rolled out in some spots and that is the top of the 20 strong team forecast Focus heading through the rest of the week a warming Trend continues towards Saturday um there's a little bit of a tricky forecast going into the weekend for Saturday temperature wise there's going to be a frontal boundary to the south of us some models want to move this further north and if it does I think Saturday could actually turn out to be a pretty warm day but if that front stays to the south of us we'll be dealing with some cooler air so it's kind of a battle right now where that uh boundary sets up but as of right now I would say temperatures would likely be around 60 for the day on Saturday could be a little warmer than that if we see this front come further north but I'll keep an eye on it and then again going into the weekend there could be some showers both days but I I think the wetest would be on Sunday Sunday looks to be a pretty wet and just kind of breezy day uh so if you have any plans on Sunday and you can move them to Saturday I would say that's the better uh pick of the weekend will be on Saturday so right now it is mostly dry out there taking a wider view on clouds radar you can see not really much going on across the region as we go throughout the rest of the day the 20day Storm Team skycast here 7: a.m. as I go throughout the morning here you can see sun and Cloud mix then going into the afternoon around 300 p.m. going towards around 5:00 p.m. you can see maybe a spot shower pops up here on Sky Die Cast can't rule it out but I would say majority of us stay dry maybe a passing furri in the evening and we gradually clear things out as we go into the overnight so for today 46 to 50 sun and Cloud mix I'm not even going to put a an icon here for any showers I'm just going to say the chance for a shower as we go into the afternoon heading into the overnight we'll fall back in the 20s to near 30 gradual clearing for the rest of the 20day Storm Team 7-day forecast tomorrow is going to be the brightest day of the week for Thursday lots of sun a little Breezy temperature around 50 in the 50s for Friday then going into the weekend as I mentioned we're watching the temperatures for Saturday I got 60 for now could be a little warmer or cooler depending on where that front sets up but I think Sunday look be pretty wet with some rain some showers could linger into the dam Monday for next week with temperatures holding steady in the 50s watching out our latest forecast you can do so by getting the free twin news mobile app
