I'm feeling it, it's spinning, it's spinning, it's fire, it's on fire.
And every time that you touch me, I find out what we're fighting about.
Oh, when you come in, you leave shame on me for leaving
every word out of your mouth.
Tell me it's over.
Oh, it tastes so bitter, so weak.
Kept you on my lips, dangerous.
You take my life.
Oh, my life.
I should let this go.
I try and I try and I try, but why?
Why won't you leave me alone?
Tell me it's over.
I keep it in the light.
Oh, I played the fool for the last time.
I just can't do this myself.
Tell me it's over.
It's over now.
Oh, man, I mean, I can't believe it's been ******* five years since I've been on tour.
This show has been, like, the most special, the most meaningful thing in my life.
Like, I miss this so much.
It ******* sucked, but it also showed me how important music is to me
and how important songwriting is to me.
And so, just so happy and so grateful for all of you guys for being around and sticking around.
Happy and grateful to be up on stage and performing all these new songs from the Head Above Water album
and from albums over the last years.
Bringing these songs live, bringing them to life and performing them for you.
And I hope that the new songs encourage you guys, inspire you guys and lift you up.
And then I wanted to sing this song on this tour because I never performed it until this tour.
It's a song that I wrote for Kelly Clarkson, like, 15 years ago.
It's called Breakaway.
And so, you guys are gonna like this.
I grew up in a small town.
And when the snow would fall down,
I just stared at my window.
Dreaming of what could be.
And if I thought I'd be, I was awake.
I tried to go to the beach.
I wanted to drive a speed car.
I felt like no one could hear me.
I wanted to belong here.
But something felt so wrong.
So I stayed out of touch.
Stayed out of touch.
Take a chance.
Make a change.
