You Are Missing Some GIANT Fish If You Aren't Doing This!

today I got the opportunity to go fish on chak to hatchee Bay with Bay bit's fishing charters lifelong resident Captain Evan Soka took us out for a half-day trip that yielded some amazing results Captain Soka kept us on the fish all day but the true highlight was ending the day with a battle with a true choc to haty Bay giant so let's go fishing all right good morning guys we are out on CH to Hatchy Bay today with Bay B Charters got Evan Scott we have got a bunch of live bait in the uh bait well we're going to Target some mangrove snapper and hopefully some other by catch maybe red fish Tarpon anything big we'll take it so uh we're going to get baited up so we started out the day using some live men Hayden but they just weren't getting hit so we switched to live shrimp and immediately saw a change there we go it's got to be [ __ ] he's going to wake up he's about to wake up I feel him he's like what's going on what why is somebody wake getting me up out of my hole oh jeez oh he was heading right for the piling he broke your grave I later found out I had a crack in one of the ceramic guides on my rod that was causing the brakes let's try a shrimp with the weight the current was picking up so I thought using the split shot on there might help keep it in the strike zone a little bit longer you are the lucky customer oh damn I would have grabbed you one sorry come on that's mangrove Y and big enough I think right yeah I'll throw him back he's pretty you think he think he's going to think he'll make it hey I broke the ice even if it is a dink where's where's your ruler quarter inch short all right see you dude let's see if we can catch evans's fish we're in the same spot I'll give you partial credit there we go come on that's better oh yeah that's oh no it cold another 10 maybe 11 no 10 SC all right see you that's better maybe they start out and they feel big and then you start reeling them in and you're like really that's it no that's decent oh yeah I'll take it it's my biggest of the day maybe 12 not a bad one not bad what do you think 12 maybe yeah you could be 12 maybe 11 we'll go with 12 well why it up 13 yeah let's just make it an even 13 at that point you know it's basically almost 15 well yeah it's almost as big as Scotts I mean it was just under all right guys we've worn this spot out uh we pulled quite a few Mangrove uh some real big ones nothing that I reeled in was really big though all right guys we're at the next spot you can see they got it marked pretty well here and that's actually part of the ship isn't it yeah sticking up right there and uh how long do you think this is the ship I think it's like 80 foot I mean it could be longer I forget that's pretty big yeah so I think it's it's deteriorated over time a lot too a lot of it's just rusted away and falling over yeah so there's lots of lots of stuff to get cut off and broke off on so we're going to give it a shot first drop and it's a decent one break yet he yeah oh my God look at my leader destroyed all up in there you're lucky I don't know how I got him out holy cow stop itch you already get hit yeah they and they will take you straight in oh God that was hard hit that that might be a decent one God I thought he was going to be a he's decent oh yeah but I thought it was going to be like one of those 15 in dang he hit that hard did you see my rod yeah I was like holy [ __ ] getting some good footage it's a 30-in red snapper all right oh yeah he's almost 12 which which which means he's almost 13 oh yeah cheer maybe no just a a nine and 3/4 sir you're going back sir you are going back so we were getting kind of low on the live shrimp so I decided to start pulling some of the dead men Hayden out of the live well and cutting them up into cut bait probably cast these chunks oh he came up he followed y whoa that's not a that's a Spanish oh yeah cut bait [ __ ] yeah no no but that's good to know Works yep all right go through the shrimp now and switch to cut bait so while I had a bait in the water I decided to go ahead and throw out some cut bait for Chum there no one rying some e oh god oh damn get out of got him out nice oh that's a decent one yeah a good one nice one on the cup bait oh dude I was going to reuse that dude that's a fatty nice try one of these cut baits help yourself all right nice one a good one yeah heck yeah oh God dang he stuck those that fin up right as I was reaching yeah they know what they're doing boy he just tried to Chomp my finger too we got two more and we're limited out oh right there right there what's that Holy what is that is that permit way oh my God I think that's a permit did you see it that had to be a permit it was about that big and it looked like a pompo I mean that's the only thing it could be so I had a piece of cut bait out while I was cutting some more bait and had no clue my rod was getting [Music] slammed oh god oh [Music] holy I immediately knew this was not a mango snapper is it I don't know my scissors are all over my hand so I can't what in the yeah what the hell oh man what is this I don't know they hit cut bait he's coming back dude it's not acting it's doing weird headshake stuff like I know I'm trying to keep him from good having to Palm the spool [Music] little oh the hook just pulled yeah you you're good you were good I don't think he's taking you in there he just had to keep the pressure on him you want me to use this one so after seeing multiple Tarpon roll we decided to put a live men hayen out on a flatline and man I'm glad we did yeah yep gotcha watch out that's open Scott so I picked out what I thought was the biggest men haen in the Live Well hooked it through the tail and threw it out all righty oh you got the handle on the wrong side what was wrong with you all right and it didn't take long like oh oh oh come on that's got to be on the bait that's got to be on it come on yeah oh [Laughter] yeah W do we need to uh relas The Troll Motor or yeah cuz I'm like I think I'm snagged too cuz um think he's under something yeah it's weird cuz your Line's going down yeah know got me like under or something well if it hadn't cut you yet it can't be sharp now that's weird because he was out there yeah I know but he went down or something did it break oh you're letting that's weird cuz now like over this way Prett nice line back on him you lost half your spool have you seen any frays in it no not yet that's weird I wonder what you were on what size lader did you have on there 40 lb oh okay that's good least it wasn't 20 that yet huh we don't want to we don't want to jinx [Laughter] it so we've we've lost several big fish today so we're due we have slaughtered the mangroves though God dang is he going back towards the wreck you see we're wanting to keep him away from that over there well you don't look like you've got a lot of line out now no got a lot of it back Evan was almost 15 minutes into the fight at this point I don't have much out out D he's staying dug down it's got to be if it is it's like a freaking Beast probably get the net ready dude that's a tank oh yeah oh that's a tank man for what we had to go through to get this thing god dude that's a giant one again it's probably made Evans weak all right so you're ready to get this yep got him nice nice holy cow dude that is a tank man maybe that's what we saw Swimming by good job yeah I never thought I thought as soon as you said he's wrapped around something I thought oh I cannot believe the Lin's not shaping it had to be like PVC or something something because it was yeah and then it just popped loose dude that is freaking awesome where where's your tape do you have one that you can stretch out I don't 40 lb 50 yeah maybe like
