Thanks to Lassie, the children avoid a landslide on the hill overlooking the visitor center. Looking down they realize the building has been damaged. With the center now closed for safety reasons, Beth has no choice but take new work away from the park.

They call me lessee, if you need somebody, I will never let you down.
I will find the key, you can trust in me, I'm a friend to everyone.
And I go, go under the rainbow, I will hear you call, you call.
And I go, go, never take it slow, I will help you all, you all.
Harvey? Oh, he's up there. I believe he may have a little surprise for you.
Thanks, Beth.
Took you long enough.
Hiya, lassie.
Wow, so this is the surprise.
Yeah, look.
But it's not even my birthday.
Nope, it's our birthday.
Well, kind of.
Today we're celebrating our fifth year of, well, of you and me, you know, hanging out.
Five years of friendship, of course. How could I forget?
I remember when we moved here and my mom started working at the center.
You and your parents were the very first visitors.
I remember it too.
A shooting star. Quick, let's make a wish.
I wish for our friendship to last forever.
Don't worry, it will.
Lassie, what is it, girl?
Listen, it's so quiet all of a sudden.
The Visitor Center!
Ellie! Mom! We're here!
Mom!
Are you all right?
Yes, Mom.
Oh, thank goodness you're safe.
Stay back, everyone. Luke, establish a security zone.
Yes, sir.
Why did this happen?
We've had a lot of rain. Excess water must have weakened the earth and caused the landslide.
Luckily, no one was hurt.
I'm glad no one was hurt, but we'll have to close the Visitor Center for a few days.
Oh, no.
Close it? A few days?
What about all the park activities?
What about my customers?
And most importantly, what about my profits?
But Uncle Humphrey, you promised me this vacation would be full of awesome activities every day.
Of course, darling. And don't worry, it will be. Anything you want.
Sorry to disappoint you, but Beth is right. Safety has to come first.
Arthur, darling, wait! You will not be bored during your vacation, I promise.
I'll find a solution. Don't worry.
Good evening, Harvey. I came to find out the news about the center.
Dad? What are you doing here?
Come on in. I'll explain.
Yes, I understand.
No, it's urgent.
The center was hit a lot worse than we thought.
Which means?
The roof is badly damaged, Zoe. It isn't structurally safe.
And the park doesn't have enough money in their budget for the repairs.
They have no choice but to close the Visitor Center down.
Close down the center? But that means you won't have a job anymore?
Okay, thank you.
Okay, first the good news.
I just found out that the Parks Department has a position for you as a tour guide.
Oh, thank you, Graham.
The bad news is that it's at another national park.
On the other side of the country.
What?
I'm so sorry, Harvey. But we're going to have to move.
Move? Away? But you can't! There must be another solution, Dad.
She could work for you, or we could ask Mrs. Lee if she needs someone to...
I'm sorry, Zoe. We tried to find another solution.
But this Visitor Center is the only one in the country that has an opening.
That's just... That just isn't possible!
No fire, silly. This is about Harvey and his mom.
The Visitor Center was damaged by a landslide.
Now it's going to close, and they have to move away.
That's tragic!
Zoe will be miserable if she's separated from her best friend.
What about Lassie? She's so very fond of Harvey. She'll be heartbroken.
How about if we repair the center?
Repair the center?
Yes!
Wrong direction.
I have a bad feeling about this.
What can we do?
I don't know. After everything we've been through together, we can't just give up without a fight.
That's it! Robert Humphrey! Smart thinking guy.
Humphrey is the richest man in the valley, and he needs the Visitor Center to keep his customers happy.
If he helps to pay for it, they could begin the repairs right away.
Come on, let's do this!
I just hope he's there!
Over there!
I'm here! I'm here! I can't move my leg!
We can move the kayak!
Let's do it together!
I've been stuck here for two hours. No one told me about the crazy rapids here.
Where did you get the kayak? The Visitor Center closed yesterday.
The hotel guide. A fellow called Connelly, I think?
What?
Rock climbing, kayaking, four-wheel drive expeditions, even a day trip zooming over the park in a microlight!
Places are limited, people, it's first come, first served!
I wouldn't mind taking a spin on the microlight.
What? What's going on?
Humphrey! He'd do anything to fill the hotel rooms.
Well, hi there, children. What can I do for you? A four-wheel drive expedition? A trip in a microlight?
You're taking advantage of the Visitor Center closing down!
And who is overseeing the safety regulations for all those activities? You could be putting tourists in danger!
What? That's ridiculous! And besides, maybe the tourists need a little more danger and excitement.
My mom always made sure that their safety came first.
Not like Nick. He sent one of your clients kayaking where the rapids are so wild it's off-limits!
The tourists must have gone the wrong way. Nick is an excellent guide.
Nick hasn't got a fraction of my mom's experience. He's hopeless as a guide.
Hey! I heard that!
Listen, it would be a lot simpler if Beth reopened the center.
If you stepped in and helped pay for the repairs, they could begin right away. Or maybe hire Beth to manage Nick?
Sorry, but that would be an additional cost for me. I'm not sure this park needs a Visitor Center anymore.
Well, maybe it's time for some other activities that I could offer for a fair and profitable price.
Doesn't need a Visitor Center?
Do you have any idea how hard my mom works at planning all those hikes and activities for all the park visitors, for all the guests at your hotel?
So true! Like, I was so bored with humdrum mountain hikes.
Can I do a microlight flight, please, please, please?
Of course you can.
Harvey, where are you going? Wait for us!
My mom would never approve something like that. The rivers are really dangerous this time of year.
We've got to tell Dad. I'm sure he can stop this.
Ouch! Looks like there's a big job ahead.
A big job? Come on gang, let's go home.
We need tools, like a ladder.
A ladder? Uh-oh, I have vertigo.
Mrs. Lee has got one in her store. Let's go!
That's odd. The store should be open now. I wonder where Mrs. Lee is.
Alright, any ideas on how to get inside? Looper?
Looper?
Uh, where is he?
What would you do without me?
Oh no!
Harvey, I'm so sorry. My new job starts sooner than I thought. We need to leave first thing in the morning.
You mean tomorrow? But Mom, we just can't...
I don't have any choice, Harvey. Come on, we need to swim by the visitor center and clear out the last of my things.
But Nick is the one organizing activities for the park. He doesn't follow regulations, check weather reports, or any of the stuff you would do.
Zoe, I don't officially work at the park anymore. It's none of my business.
But...
Zoe, I'm sorry. I have to move on, and so does Harvey.
I'm going to miss you so much, Zoe. But we'll come back and visit you as soon as we can.
And you too, Lassie.
I guess this is goodbye.
I promise I'll look at the stars every night.
You take real good care of Zoe.
Zoe! Zoe!
Sarah, she needs to be alone.
Yes, you're right.
Lassie, sorry, but I'm not up for playing right now.
What's gotten into you?
Don't all of you rush to help at once?
Listen, I'm sorry, but I don't have any arms.
And I'm way too small. Itsy bitsy teeny weeny. Like this.
And I'm out of breath.
Watch out! Car! Car! Car! Car!
Wait here. I won't be long.
Doing all this frequency. This is for emergency calls.
This is an emergency call.
I just saw Nick and Samantha fly past in the microlight and something is wrong.
It looks like they're about to crash.
Can you tell me where they're headed?
Right away, Dad.
They're heading towards the glacier.
They won't last, right?
Do something, Nick. Come on. You know how to fly.
Yes, I mean, thankfully, when there's no wind and no fog.
What? Help!
Dad! Dad!
Yes, Zoe. What's going on?
They've disappeared into the fog of the glacier.
Copy that, Zoe.
Has the other team finished the rescue operation?
Not yet, boss.
Zoe, listen to me. No rangers are available and I'm at least an hour away.
The only person who knows that area well and who can get to them in time is Beth.
Do you hear me? You have to find Beth.
Come on, Lassie. We have to hurry.
I'm doing my best.
Almost there.
Watch your move. Here she comes.
Lassie? Zoe? What's wrong?
It's Nick and Samantha.
They crashed into microlight up in the glacier.
My dad can't reach them in time and the other rangers are too busy to help.
What? At this time of year?
Come on, hop in.
You were such a hot driver.
Let's go.
Lassie, go get my red bag from the car. Quick.
No!
A rescue team. We're going to be okay.
The microlight is sliding away.
Sorry. You guys go first.
That is so rude. Wait till I tell my uncle about this.
It's moving.
Grab my hand. Grab my hand.
We need to balance the microlight.
It's moving.
No. No. No.
Samantha, come on. Your turn.
It's okay. I'm perfectly all right.
Help!
Mom! No! What are you doing?
Take my hand.
Come on, Samantha. I'll help you.
Come on, Samantha.
Give me your hand.
Come on. I got down by myself.
Seth!
What?
Lassie!
Yeah!
Are you okay?
I've had better days.
Lassie, you saved me.
Well done, Lassie.
I'd like to see your approved flight and microlight permits.
I assume you have them with you.
Yeah. I mean, I think so.
What you did is totally irresponsible.
Safety is always the first priority of any guide.
With all the safety regulations you ignored,
you can expect to pay a hefty fine.
I might have to close down the hotel.
Close the hotel?
No.
Wait. I'm sure we can reach an understanding.
Well, what if you finance the repairs to the visitor center
in order to keep it open?
Yes, yes, of course.
Anything to apologize to Beth
and say thanks to you all for helping to save some money.
What? You mean it?
You'd do that?
Woo-hoo!
Hey, Lassie, why are Zoe and Harvey so happy?
Oh, that's because the visitor center is going to be repaired.
Of course it will take some time.
Well, maybe not as much time as you think
because we've already made some repairs.
Oh, really?
That's great, guys.
It was my idea.
Hey, I'm the one who did all the work.
You? You're kidding. You're being one of hell.
Go on. Let me hear that again.
Calm down, all of you. It was my idea.
What?
