▶ About me! I'm a motovlogger from Phoenix, Arizona! I've been riding motorcycles since 2015. My first motorcycle I learned how to ride on was a Suzuki GS500F. After taking a motorcycle safety course and finally gaining some confidence on the streets, I decided to purchase my second motorcycle. A Honda CBR600RR. I still own that motorcycle to this day! After some time passed I decided to add another motorcycle to the family. So I purchased a Yamaha FZ-07. That's another bike I still have to this day! Again, more time passed and guess what I did. I purchased my final bike, as of now. A Honda Grom!
▶ What's a motovlog? A motovlog is a type of video log recorded by a person while riding a motorcycle or any motorized vehicle. the hopco ranger you guys is what we are
out riding today it's a fun cool little
ebike that we've been riding around with
the Altus and I wanted to make a quick
video give you guys a little bit of a
rundown on the thing and get a nice
little morning ride in so let's just
dive right into it so guys The Hop
Ranger is featuring 17 1/2 in Wheels
which are pretty solid nice larger size
to keep the ride a lot more smooth
whether you're going off-road onroad
wherever you're going I have noticed
that the suspension is nice and soft but
still firm so if you want to take it
Offroad and things like that it really
does do a really good job of taking care
of the bumps and giving you a nice
smooth ride uh and not to mention the
seat is very comfortable as well the H
Ranger is also capable of doing up to 28
mph which is really solid you can EAS
you can get it there pretty easily
honestly with the thumb throttle the
thumb throttle is on the left side here
as you can see with my finger it's
actually very responsive and it feels
very good currently I'm riding around
our neighborhood and I'm trying to keep
it at a safe speed and things like that
so right now I don't have it unlocked to
class 3 so it's just going to kind of
take me at 5 10 m an hour so but you can
connect their hops app via Bluetooth
your phone to the bike which is really
cool and you can use it for all sort of
features as well as unlocking it to a
class 3 ebike and making this thing go
nearly 30 mph like I said the brakes are
hydraulic very smooth very powerful you
have one on each side right and left
rear and front and the rotors are 180 mm
so they are good size for a bike this
size truthfully features with the bike
is you can toggle between trip odometer
I believe a couple other things and then
on the left here you do have your
controller for the bikes you have zero
through 5 five for your pedalist to
speed five obviously helping you the
most where you don't have to Pedal as
much three sitting in the middle zero
being off and you know you get the point
so you can see right now I'm heading
downhill and not putting in too much
pedaling work but we're going 15 16 uh
17 M an hour going down this hill uh
this bike is equipped also with the
torque sensor so depending on how heavy
how hard you are pedaling this bike it
is going to assist you more so if you're
just barely pedaling it kind of gauges
how much to help you based on uh your
pedaling speed if that makes sense it is
a seven-speed derailer so you can shift
between your gears right up here uh
index finger to upshift some to
downshift I like to keep it in a higher
gear just to keep me moving and it does
shift very very smooth I haven't had a
single issue with the chain at all the
bike does come equipped with a couple
Keys here for your battery for security
purposes you can remove the battery if
you park this bike somewhere out in the
city and you're not wanting it to get
stolen or something like that you can
pull the battery out and keep it with
you which is pretty cool the battery and
the motor the motor is 970 W Motor which
is uh pretty solid and with this uh
thumb throttle on the left from zero it
really does get you up and going uh has
a good amount of torque for the battery
it is a 48v 15 amp hour battery so a
pretty standard one overall but a very
solid one it charges in decent time it's
going to last you I believe up to 60 Mi
is what they claim depending on how you
ride it right but that is a a very good
amount of ride time on one charge the
bike does have a good amount of torque
especially with the thumb throttle here
you kind of just take right off uh 65
inm of torque so it's going to move you
pretty quickly for um a solid built
ebike like this it does a good job 450
lb is the weight limit on this thing so
really you can throw any person on this
bike anything on this bike with you and
you're not going to have any issues I
believe you can also get some
attachments for the back of it like
racks and things like that to mount
above the rear wheels you can bring
stuff along with you and not have to
wear a backpack or something so that's a
cool feature the grips you guys are very
very comfy they have uh rest for your
wrists here on each side to kind of keep
your wrist supported on those long rides
that's always a great little feature
that some of them forget to do and the
display you guys is very very simplistic
a nice vertically mounted display you
have your battery percentage on the top
left right below the battery is your
pedal assist setting I have it at five
which is maxed out right now next to
that is obviously your miles per hour
you can also change that to kilm an hour
if that's what you prefer and below that
is your current trip and odometer on the
bottom right the bike is also equipped
with a headlight you hold the headlight
button here to turn it on it's very
bright and does a very good job of
lighting up the trail that you are
riding on especially at night the design
of the bike you guys I think looks great
I got the gray finish on mine like I
said the wheels are 17 1/2 in with the
tires on them and the tires are treaded
nicely so again they're still smooth on
the road but if you want to take you on
a trail in the dirt and the grass you're
not going to have any issues this one is
not equipped with a bell outside of the
box which really isn't that big of a
deal you can buy a bell from literally
anywhere if you want for cheap it does
have a rear reflector and reflectors on
each wheel and the front wheel is quick
to disconnect so you can take the front
wheel on and off very very easily just
pretty much by pulling a lever assembly
was very easy for this bike nothing
special at all it pretty much comes 90%
assembled and you just got to throw the
front wheel on and a couple other small
things like the kickstand and the bars
obviously you got to mount onto the bike
the packaging was solid and to unpack it
was very easy as well and yeah guys if
you want to explore the app that comes
with it the hob scout app you can
download it like I said unlock your bike
to 28 mph and I think track a bunch of
other stuff on it too which is pretty
cool another cool thing with the
suspension I forgot to mention is you
can lock it out so if you are not riding
Offroad and you're just going on a big
street ride you can lock them out it'll
completely sifen up the front suspension
completely lock it and it'll keep you
carrying a little bit of a better speed
and a smoother ride and then if you
transition off-road you just reach down
to this blue switch flip it over and
unlock that suspension again so yeah
guys that is the hcoo Ranger uh it's the
27 1/2 in wheel model they have a few
different colors and it is a very solid
ebike for the price right around $1,600
give or take sometimes they have S
but you do get a lot uh bang for your
buck so I want to thank you guys for
watching the video link for the bike is
in the description and I will catch you
guys next time
