Okay, it's crazy.
So this is probably our most requested bat of the year so far.
We have the 2026 DiMarini Omega BB Corps.
There's a little kind of debate going back and forth.
Is this thing a brand new bat?
Is this thing just a repaint of the Voodoo 2 piece?
We're going to try to answer that today.
I think we're going to have a pretty easy answer early on,
in my opinion, just putting the barrel rings on like it's drastic.
And I was immediately reminded of the Voodoo 2 piece,
and sure enough, it's the same exact barrel profile.
This does have kind of a longer taper right here, but it's the same barrel.
So we're going to try this out.
We got a special guest as well.
So a Batboro legend right here, not his first rodeo.
Oh!
Ben Ziegler, Namoa outfielder, senior for UH.
So what's your game right now, and how are you feeling about it?
I'm swinging the 34 two-piece, the 2021, I think, the gray one.
The American Athletic Conference tournament last year,
something similar happened as Ziegler-Namoa sends it in the air to center.
Going back is Duncan, and this game is tied as Ziegler-Namoa goes aloha.
What's the move in terms of Demarini bats? What do you guys like?
A lot of the new guys are loving this new one.
I think I'm one of the only guys that's sticking to older bats.
But is it mostly the two-piece goods?
They're loving the two-piece and the one-piece goods.
Yeah. No Voodoos?
No Voodoo guys.
No Omegas?
No Omegas.
And you hadn't heard about this bat until now?
I hadn't heard about it until now.
All right, so we're going to start out with the Omega here,
get a few good barrels, kind of set a baseline.
We will move to the goods, go a little back and forth,
and see if this is actually a good light-swinging alternative to the goods.
Maybe more of that Caddx Connect, Bonesaber Hybrid kind of situation.
Okay, let's get a little sound reveal here.
Sounds good.
Hey, a little double. Healthy swing from Brock.
Dude, that was good.
96, first swing.
It might be good.
Dude, that was...
I was kind of chirping it right there.
It might be good.
It sounds different than the Voodoo two-piece does.
It's got like more of a clack to it.
That feels good.
Okay, 104.2.
I'm getting a little pleasantly surprised to start.
That's off the hands, but bro, that's running.
103.7.
I'm shutting myself up already.
I hope it's good.
These are the best reviews.
When I think of that, it's going to suck, and it actually ends up being good.
A couple more things I will add.
We do have the updated connector piece.
That Voodoo two-piece was a durability nightmare.
I saw end cap issues.
I saw the knob falling off.
I saw telescopes.
This should have all of those resolved.
So honestly, this feels a lot like a Voodoo one.
A lot just like a two-piece Voodoo one.
Jam shot.
Off the hands, it's not great.
Oh my god.
It's good.
That's going to hunt, man.
What you got?
I'm not even going to say what that is.
I think that's a misread.
It says 112.
No way.
I don't think it's 112.
Perhaps it'll get the yips sometimes.
Oh, see ya.
Oh my goodness.
It feels good.
Oh my goodness.
Okay, 103.
That went really far.
I get the vibe that the sweet spot isn't amazing, but I'm finding it very easily.
It's really easy to control.
There's that freaking high read again.
111.
That's hit so hard.
Oh my god, 110.
Okay, last one with this.
We're going to swing the goods.
Oh my god.
On the road.
Are you joking?
Bro, that's weird.
Okay, so we're going to go to the goods now.
I'm kind of tripping out because that was a very, very good round.
We're going to see if this is getting those same results with even more barrel because
that was way better.
Way better than I expected.
That dude, that felt good.
Okay, so that's jammed also.
That was 97.
That wasn't very good.
Okay, that's going to be a good test right there.
All right, 109.
We're close.
That felt so good.
Yeah, that felt so good.
Okay, 106.
Okay, that needs to be about 110 to 112.
There, 111.
There we go.
Okay, I can't believe I'm saying this.
It kind of feels like a light version of the goods.
Jeez, bro.
I mean, they're hitting similar.
109.
Okay, that's far.
Okay, back to the Omega here.
It's really flexible.
I don't love how that feels, but it's hitting really well.
Like, I really want to do a secondary round after this off of like at least 80 miles an hour
to see how this sweet spot does and how this really flexible handle does against higher velo
because it feels crazy good right now.
Like, I'm not going to lie.
It sounds the same.
It kind of feels the same.
That was 108, bro.
What the hell?
Okay, it's crazy.
It's really hot.
Okay, one more with the goods and then you can hit.
I'm sorry.
Okay, the sweet spot feels better.
The sound is the exact same and the velos are close.
We got 109 right there.
The velos are shockingly close.
Okay, Benny, I need you here, man.
I'm all torn up.
I don't know what to do.
So what I want to hear from you, is the Omega related to the goods?
Is it a similar bat or is it kind of its own thing?
Because I felt like they did a pretty good job.
Sweet spot was my only concern.
This bat's really good.
First impression is good.
So I'm not tripping.
No, it's good.
This bat's good.
Hands?
No, that's hands.
You can hear when it's hands.
Yeah, I was hands.
That was like really hands.
100 miles an hour.
What is it?
You said 111.
I creamed that one.
That was probably better.
Yeah, that's off the end.
104, okay, one second.
Honestly, like off the end of the bat, like I'm impressed.
I thought this thing would just like kind of be like a dud.
It's jumping.
Like how's the feel?
Way lighter than that.
Yeah.
But like when you catch it, you can almost feel it.
Like you can feel the heaviness of the barrel a little bit.
But yeah, it's awesome.
Dude, good job, DeMarini.
That's actually crazy.
We have a lot to break down here.
So first things first, I think kind of needless to say,
this did not feel like the Two-Piece Voodoo.
You've swung that before, right?
100%.
I didn't even swing the Two-Piece Voodoo.
Like I was so shook by the experience.
And I will also say this review is not over.
This is probably going to be a long video.
I need to swing this against higher velocity
because that could be the one Achilles heel
of a balanced swinging kind of shorter barreled bat
is that it really gets bodied by higher velocity pitching,
which is what a guy like you was going to face.
But off of that, bro, I mean, what was your experience?
Dude, honestly, this bat, like at first I was like,
there's no way it's going to be good.
It looks bad.
I felt it and I was like, this is way too light.
It's like a fungum.
Yeah, I didn't think I was going to perform at all.
And then I swung it first swing and I was like, whoa.
It sounds so sick.
It has the thump.
Like it has like that jump off of it that you feel,
but it's a light, it's way lighter.
That's the crazy part about it.
The pop, like, and a lot of the times people can get hung up
on pop in a video like this.
The Velos were the same.
It's just like, that was so easy to get the barrel there.
My basket felt crazy.
Like I'm sure yours did too.
I'm very surprised.
Very surprised.
I thought that was going to be a repaint of the Voodoo 2 piece.
I thought it was going to be an abomination of a comparison
to the goods and it was absolutely not.
So if you were to give it like, we do our little tier list.
So S tier, A tier, B tier, C tier, F tier.
Where would you like kind of gut reaction?
Where would you kind of put it?
Where you got that at right now?
A tier.
You got that in an A tier?
Yeah, comfortably A tier.
That's a tough one.
Performance in game is where I'm at.
That's what I'm nervous about.
We're still going to look into that later in this review.
I think we're probably just midway into the review, honestly.
But that's my only concern.
Off of BP or even like high school or like JV, freshman, eighth grade, like crazy.
Try it.
You better be swinging this.
Yeah, like it's good, good.
But against 85 plus pitching, that's what I need to find out.
So initial reaction, what do you got?
I'm going to have to give it an A.
Yeah, I think so too.
I think A tier is reasonable.
For the setting we hit in, it was an A tier bat.
But well, let's dig into it a little bit deeper and see what we got.
We're going to up the stakes.
It is currently 39 degrees.
We're back at our home field with much softer baseballs.
And we have the most popular bat in college baseball, the Select Power.
The black version, don't know if you can tell.
And the most popular bat in high school baseball, the Louisville Slugger Atlas.
And I think this is probably the bat to compare the Omega to.
The swing weight is about exactly the same.
And like more than anything, just because the barrel looks so small and wimpy,
I want to get this thing off of some faster Velo.
So we got more like 70 today.
Is the performance on mishits going to be good against faster Velo in colder weather?
Let's find out.
Good bunt straight.
Still got it.
It still kind of feels like the goods.
So here is what I think.
This actually feels like a Voodoo 1 with a composite hybrid handle.
Whereas the Voodoo 2 piece, that's what we were promised and that's not what we got.
The barrel response did not feel like the Voodoo 1.
On the Voodoo 2 piece, it somehow felt worse, which was very odd.
But funny enough, the Omega, I think is finally the bat that gives me
that feeling of the 2020-2021 Voodoo 1 barrel
with a flexible handle that's not going to sting your hands.
And while that's probably not like a high level D1 college bat,
this could freaking play for a high school hitter.
And like a younger, even middle school guy.
Dude, I did not think it was going to be good.
That sound is good too, man.
I swear, the barrel looks so not impressive.
But it plays bigger than it looks.
The closest bat I would compare this to is a Bonesaber hybrid, but you have a regular knob on.
Oh my gosh, this is annoying.
What was that?
Oh, last one.
Okay, I think I have my thoughts collected finally.
I also swapped out the grip.
If you swing a DeMarini, change out the grip.
Their stock grips are really bad at the moment.
No way this just pulled a soldier tank.
It, in case you didn't see what happened,
the end cap disintegrated into 10,000 pieces.
Dude, I don't even know where I, like, I don't even-
Disappeared.
I don't think it even broke into one piece.
I think it broke into literally a million pieces.
See if we can find it.
Damn.
Dude, is that the same end cap as the new?
No, this, okay, to assure everyone, this, I believe, I'm 99.9% sure,
this is a unique end cap to the Omega.
They made it lighter swing weight by putting that end cap on there.
I was gonna rank it like this, I think, but that is the automatic disqualifier.
80 swings.
Yeah, it was not a lot of hacks.
I end capped one ball.
It looks kind of crazy in there.
John, what are your reactions to your Omega breaking?
Smells fine.
Cool restrictory.
Yeah, it looks cool in there.
Do they want us to see it?
Yeah.
Do they expect us to break the end cap?
Why would they make it look so cool in there?
Very interesting.
What are you building in there?
