Peek through time and discover the rich history of most prestigious church in the Philippines, the Manila Cathedral. This animated video showcases the different facades the cathedral sported since it was established in 1571. Archival photographs, illustrations, and blueprints were translated to three-dimensional models visualizing the cathedral’s architectural evolution.

Manila Cathedral: An Architectural Evolution is the output of a research study from Mapúa Institute of Technology (now Mapúa University) under the School of Multimedia and Visual Arts (now School of Media Studies), entitled: A Three-Dimensional Presentation of Manila Cathedral's Architectural Evolution. Through the lens of the Medium Theory by Marshal McLuhan, Aesthetic Realism, and Multimedia Learning Principles by Richard Mayer, a digital three-dimensional presentation was produced.
