Improve your game!
This channel is dedicated to all the gold seeking Pickleballers out there who dink responsibly and stay out of the kitchen. We have all levels come through the channel, but we concentrate on the 4.0, 4.5 and up to 5.5 with the pros.
I started this channel quite by accident, I was recording my games to do film study and get better. I did not have time or money for lessons from pro pickleball coach, so I started watching all my screwups. People that I was playing with started to ask if they could watch too and I said sure. That helped all of us a lot to improve our game, strategy, mental toughness, and techniques. Now we have new pickleball videos published several times a week. We occasionally have pro pickleball players on the channel. Mostly its non pro pickleball players on their quest to 5.0 pickleball. We have all levels come through the channel, but we concentrate on the 4.0 pickleball, 4.5 pickleball and up to 5.5 pickleball with the pros.

The forehand drive! This could be a lethal shot. It could set you up for an easier drop, it could be a put away, and I’m going to tell you when, where, and how to hit it. Let's get started! What makes a good drive: topspin, you want to drive to sink. Look at Christina Bolton, look at that drive sink. That is so good! She is not trying to kill it and, nor should she. Let's see that in slow motion. She goes from low to high to put topspin on that ball, and she celebrates. You deserve it, Christina! Look at her balance: she's not fallen back, she's perfectly balanced, ready to hit the next shot. And the next shot should be a drop FOR the most part. Here's me and I'm pretty upset with Christina. She has beat me in some mixed doubles tournaments. Look at that drive sink. That's what I want to do. In slow motion I'm going from low to high, and I'm actually putting some right to left spin on it too. I like to hit in the middle going from right to left. Why? Because it makes your opponents confused which one should take it. They don't know, they argue. Then you win the game. This is Sam DeStefano. He has a drive followed by a drop, and that is beautiful. You get into the net. A drive should set up an easier drop. Here it is again: he drives, and it's a winner that time. But you have to be ready to drop. If you're a little more athletic, I'm not saying I'm athletic. But look, I come in a little too quick. But you can reset it off the drive as well. Here's another example: Camy has a great drive! I reset, and it's important to remember: if you're playing against 5.0’s, the drive's going to come back. Camy is, I would say she's a 5.0. She's won a lot of tournaments. Christina Bolton has won a ton of 5.0 tournaments. $the drive will win you points, but most likely it's going to get you an easier drop. Rich Lively. he is so good at this! Look at that drive! He moves it from right to left and it drops. That's so effective, and against most people that would be a winner. Look at JD: get that back but then Rich is in great position for the rest of this point. Now let's get a little closer up view. That paddle's almost at his knee, and then he swipes across it. He swipes across it moving it from right to left. As a rule, they say to drive directly in front of you at the person's backhand. But it depends. In tournaments you drive at the weaker player. I’m working on a video, that's a set of drills to make your drive more effective. Thank you so much for watching and have a great day! Please subscribe.
