Jewelry Trends: What's IN and What's OUT!

Jewelry is always a great way to make your outfit
feel more personal and interesting.
And I thought it'd be fun to look at the jewelry trends
that are happening right now and going into 2025
and some new trends that are in,
some trends that are just a little bit out
or considered a little bit dated.
Now, if you're like me, I just like to go
with what feels good and what I like on myself,
but I always love new ideas.
So I've got some new ideas in here for you.
And I wanna let you know about a trend that is coming back.
It's starting to come back
and you may or may not be ready for it.
I don't think I'm ready for it, to be honest.
I will save that for the end of this video
and you'll have to let me know what you think.
Okay, I'm gonna have to hold my microphone like this
because I just tried recording this and it was like, whoop.
I was exposing myself to the world.
So 2024 was the year of quiet luxury
and we've just really moved away from loud logos
and loud luxury.
And along with that are the earrings
and the necklaces with the logo,
the Louis Vuitton earrings, the Chanel C's on the earrings.
It's just kind of, it's not really in style.
Now, if you have these pieces, I mean, my goodness,
please still wear those
because I know they were expensive.
And plus, you know, if you love them, who cares?
But it's just not a trend right now.
The jewelry trends are much more about individual,
unique ensembles that represent your own creativity
rather than wearing someone else's logo.
We are seeing a lot more statement pieces
become a big trend for 2025.
Like statement necklaces, statement chunky necklaces
with a big pendant or statement earrings,
almost always in a gold or a silver
or something that looks very natural.
We're not talking really about the plastic necklaces
that were on trend about 10 years ago,
but these are all like gold and silver and pearls.
And then with these items, like with these chunky necklaces,
we are seeing a lot of layering.
So let's talk about layering for a minute.
So layering before, it used to be you would want
everything perfectly spaced.
One right here and one right here and one right here.
No, now the trend for 2025 are just layered
like you just threw on your favorite necklaces
and went out the door.
And so maybe you have a big chunky one
and then you have a longer initial necklace
and then you have a herringbone chain
and some of them are the same length.
They're not necessarily all spaced out.
So this is the trend of the layered necklace at the moment.
I actually really love this.
And so today, I don't normally layer this many necklaces,
but I thought it'd be fun to do for this video.
I have three different necklaces on
and I normally would not wear all three of these together.
I'd probably wear two at a time, but I'm like,
you know what, we're doing a jewelry video, why not?
Let's try something out.
But you can really just get all of your necklaces
and pile them on in any which way you want
and that is what is on trend.
I do like this kind of carefree way of putting on jewelry
and it doesn't feel so stringent,
like everything needs to be a certain length.
I also love this because it inspires a lot more creativity.
Like you get those necklaces
that you haven't worn in a while,
pair them with some new necklaces, you make a new ensemble.
So I think this is gonna be a really fun one
to play around with.
A jewelry trend that is very, very in right now
and I just think it's gonna be so big in 2025.
I mean, it's already pretty big,
but it's the vintage inspired jewelry.
So jewelry that looks a little bit
like it would be found in a vintage store,
but it's brand new.
We really were wearing the classic hoop for the longest time
and it's still very classic.
I love my hoops, but I do see us moving
to switching out some of those days
we would have worn the hoops,
maybe wearing some of these interesting,
vintage inspired earrings and rings and necklaces.
I love this actually.
I love this trend and I love this look.
So this is one that I'm very much into.
All of the jewelry that I'm wearing today is from Mejuri.
I love Mejuri for classic, timeless, high quality pieces
that you can really wear every day and mix and match
and are just so lightweight and easy to pair
with all of your outfits.
So I wanna show you some new pieces I have from Mejuri.
I am obsessed with these geometric hoops.
They are lightweight and secure
and go with everything I own.
Mejuri has the best selection of rings
and here I have on the duo ring and the Charlotte ring,
which can be stacked or worn by themselves.
All the rings I have from Mejuri are comfortable enough
that you can wear them every day
and forget you even have them on.
These tube earrings are an updated twist on the classic hoop
and they work really well if you're wanting to mix metals.
Mejuri has a really great selection of necklaces,
which can easily be worn alone
or stacked with your other jewelry.
These are easy enough to wear every day
and forget that you even have them on.
I love Mejuri's bracelet collection.
They're all super lightweight and easy to wear
and they can be worn by themselves or stacked
with each other.
All of Mejuri's pieces are responsibly sourced
and made of premium materials like 14 karat gold,
white gold, sterling silver.
Make sure to check out Mejuri's Black Friday sale,
which is their biggest sale of the year,
where you can get 25% off orders of $150 or more.
I will leave links below to my Mejuri pieces
in the description box below and let's continue.
In 2024 and going into 2025,
we are gonna see a lot more of these daintier,
a little bit vintage inspired watches.
Think like the ladylike watch, slim watches.
I think for a long time,
we were really focused on these large,
more masculine looking watches
and I still have some watches like this and I love them.
I think actually I like the more masculine looking ones
better than the dainty ladylike ones,
but those ladylike ones are the ones
that you're gonna really start seeing
and that's kind of what's more on trend for 2025.
Rose gold was so huge several, several years ago.
What was that, like 2015 or 18 or something?
It is just, it's kind of a dated look.
It is a not, it turned out to be not a classic look.
Rose gold was kind of a trend and now it does look dated.
What is very classic is gold and silver, white gold.
The rose gold has been looking
a little bit dated for a while.
Now one thing that is very in
that I think is really cool is pearl jewelry,
but not just your traditional classic pearl necklace.
We're talking about pearls mixed with gemstones,
mixed with gold and silver
and just lots of different interesting and creative ways
that these jewelry designers have used pearls in jewelry.
Baroque pearls, the large pearls, the freshwater pearls.
There are just a lot of really unique designs with pearls
and this trend just keeps getting bigger and bigger
and plus I think it's very classic looking as well
since you are using pearls and pearls are very classic.
So I really love this one and I'm just loving
all the concoctions that I'm seeing come out.
One jewelry look that we have seen,
it's still out, it's been out for a while,
but the very matchy matchy jewelry.
So if you have like red earrings and a red necklace
and red bracelets, all of them together,
it just, the whole matchy matchy jewelry is not very in
and it's just gotten even more out
the further we've gone into 2024.
What is very in right now is gold and silver
and pearls and diamonds and gemstones all mixed together
within the same jewelry ensemble
or even within the same piece.
So if you have a set of matching earrings and necklace
and bracelet and rings and all that,
just separate them and wear them
with your other jewelry pieces
and that is a more current look.
I don't normally tell people that they should follow trends
because they're trendy, but this is one
that has just been out for so long
that I do feel like it looks a lot more current
when you don't match them perfectly together.
Gold and silver mixed together has just been a huge trend.
I love this.
I don't love it all the time on me personally,
but I do like it when there's pieces
that just have gold and silver mixed together
like this necklace right here.
And then I have two rings that I like to wear together
that are gold and silver,
but I do see other people going way more
into this gold and silver mixing
and it just gives you way more options
with the jewelry that you have.
Charms are back and charmed bracelets, charmed necklaces,
the ones you can remove and put your own charms on
and play around with, those are very much on trend.
I think that would actually be a fun Christmas gift
or to give someone a charm to put on their charm bracelet
or charm necklace or something, but that is back.
That is a big trend and I think that is one of those trends
that whenever it comes back,
I do think it stays around for a while.
A necklace that is out that was humongous for years,
but the Zodiac necklaces are not really the thing anymore.
Do I think you should get rid of your Zodiac necklace?
No, I mean, wear it, it looks fine,
but it's just not really as crazy of a trend
as it used to be.
And now what has been trending,
and I think this will still last for well into 2025,
are the angel number necklaces.
So I kind of think this is a little bit of a younger trend.
If I were buying a gift for somebody in college
or in their 20s, this might be a fun one to do,
although you need to know their angel numbers, I guess.
But this is a trend that I feel like
kind of replaced the Zodiac necklace.
And this is one that's a trendy trend.
I think it'll last through 2025
and then it'll probably, you know,
maybe not last into 2026.
The rainbow jewelry, rainbow gemstones,
all in the same necklace in rainbow order,
is, it's just, it's not really trending anymore.
But what is in style, what is very in,
is the red and the burgundy jewelry,
which makes sense because those two colors
are just humongous for 2024 and on into 2025.
And so now you're seeing a lot of sapphires
and red and burgundy gemstones
mixed with gold and mixed with pearls.
And this can be really pretty,
although you do have to make sure,
I guess, your outfit matches to the burgundy.
This next one has been out for a while,
but even going into 2025,
the leather earrings, the tassel earrings,
they're just not really in right now.
Everything is very much about natural gemstone
or gold and silver and pearls and diamonds and things,
not so much the tassels and leather
and cloth-looking earrings.
We are seeing a lot of geometric shapes
with a lot of the gold and silver earrings,
which I love this.
This is, kind of feels a very,
this feels a little bit 80s and I love it.
I think the jewelry in the 80s was just amazing.
Too bad I was a little bitty girl.
And so you are seeing a lot of more geometric earrings,
kind of like the ones that I'm wearing now.
In the bracelet world, we are seeing a lot of cuffs,
a lot of chunkier bracelets, a lot of layering,
like all of your bracelets layered together
to make your bracelet ensemble.
In the bracelet world, we're not really seeing
so much of the leather cuffs,
anything that's not a gold or silver or some kind of metal.
We're just not really seeing that be a big trend right now
and going into 2025.
Lariat necklaces, am I saying that right?
Lariat?
Anyway, I'll show you a picture.
Those are a very big trend right now
and you can layer them in this trend cycle.
It's very trendy to layer them with other necklaces.
They don't have to just be by themselves
because remember, you can just layer, layer, layer
and it all looks good.
It's just whatever is your unique personal style.
I love this.
I love Lariat necklaces.
I just think they can look so beautiful
even with like a V-neck like this.
And I haven't tried it layered with my other necklaces yet
but I will and I'll see how I like that.
Diamonds are out.
I'm just kidding.
Diamonds are not out but mined diamonds,
the ones that are questionable,
the way that they're acquired, it's kind of out.
And now what's in are lab-grown diamonds
and there are a lot of beautiful ones.
They look exactly like a mined diamond
but without all the controversy.
If you are in the market for some more diamonds
or looking into them,
I would definitely look at some lab-grown diamonds
because they are just as beautiful
and they're not as expensive.
So the trend that is coming back,
that was just dated for the longest time
and honestly, I just, listen, it's coming back.
I don't know if it's like screaming
everybody's name right now
but I'll bet you by spring 2025,
no, I'm sorry, that's coming up,
maybe next fall 2025,
this will be a much moving more into mainstream trend
but the long necklaces with a pendant
or something at the bottom.
Remember we were wearing those 10 years ago,
this was all the rage.
Those are trying to make a comeback
because we are seeing a lot of designers come out with them
with like a horn on the bottom
or a gemstone or something.
I'll be honest with you,
I went very hard into that trend 10 years ago
and I just don't know if I'm really quite ready for it yet
but we'll see, we'll see what happens
but that is trying to come back
and it makes sense because we really have been
into the short necklaces for so long
so it's not surprising that long necklaces
are gonna make their way back onto the trend cycle.
You'll have to let me know how you feel about that.
If you like that long necklaces are coming back
or if you're like I need a couple more years,
let me know in the comments.
So those were some jewelry trends
that are happening right now and going into 2025.
I always think jewelry trends are a lot of fun.
It's definitely even more so just something like
you take what you love and you leave the rest.
If something inspires you, great.
If you don't like it, don't do it.
You should never feel like you should be forced
to wear something just because it's trending
but they are a lot of fun to look at.
Make sure to check out Mejuri in the description box below.
I will leave a link to their website
and also list some of the items that I'm wearing right now
and anyway, thank you so much for watching
and I will see you next time.
