What Nasa Boss Revealed about Starship Flight 7 Shocked Blue Origin... After SpaceX's unexpected loss of the upper-stage Starship during Flight 7 on January 16, the space community is buzzing with questions, particularly regarding the FAA's impending response.
Is the FAA going to have a big issue with this?
However, there's a more pressing concern looming over this situation: NASA's reaction.
It has a point! With Artemis 3 scheduled for 2027, SpaceX must conduct the Starship Propellant Transfer Demonstration campaign early this year, a critical part of the future Artemis and deep space missions.
And Flight 7 was not just another test; it played a vital role in validating technologies essential for lunar exploration.
Clearly, the failure during this flight poses a significant challenge for upcoming plans.
What Nasa Boss Revealed about Starship Flight 7 Shocked Blue Origin... As we delve deeper into today’s episode, we’ll explore what NASA officials are saying about this setback and how it could impact the timeline for returning humans to the Moon. Stay tuned as we uncover all the details and implications of this dramatic turn of events!
(Nasa’s response)
What Nasa Boss Revealed about Starship Flight 7 Shocked Blue Origin... NASA has been closely monitoring SpaceX's Starship Flight 7. The first flight of 2025 is pivotal for advancing the goal of fully reusable rockets, a basic requirement for SpaceX's Starship Propellant Transfer Demonstration campaign, slated between March and summer of 2025, which aims to conduct the first ship-to-ship docking and propellant transfer in orbit. This is a crucial demonstration for the HLS program (part of Artemis), which heavily relies on orbital refueling in order to get a lunar ship to the moon. Nasa has contracted SpaceX for over $4 billion to develop and execute two human landing missions as part of its Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the Moon.
So good news from the test flight is what NASA officials are looking for most at this point. But with the failure of Ship 33, what will they say?
NASA administrator Bill Nelson, as usual, congratulated the SpaceX team for what they learned and achieved from the test flight.
