You know, I think it really just comes as cliche and cheesy as it may sound,
but it comes back to our fans and and the fact that they
we've seen familiar faces at these shows.
The Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge.
Hi, Jonas Brothers. Welcome to the show.
Hello, everyone. Good morning.
We we made the big announcement for Jonas Kahn.
And can we just start out on a negative?
Oh, please. We like to start negative.
Gandhi, go ahead.
Oh, I always wonder, why do we go with Kahn at the end
instead of fest?
Because when I hear Kahn, I think, oh, what are they scamming me out of now?
Ah, I hear you.
Well, it's a villain event.
So we're going to be dressed as our favorite Jonas villains.
Yes. OK. Makes sense. I'm in.
All right. I'm glad we got that cleared up.
OK, let me just get to the the headline.
Jonas Kahn taking place.
And of course, Jonas Brothers, home state, New Jersey at American Dream,
one of our favorite places, our favorite place
that Sunday, March 23rd.
And I want to talk about everything going on at Jonas Kahn at American Dream.
But there's also a lot of stuff going on in New York City the day before on Saturday.
We don't know what any of that is.
Is it all secret stuff or can you tell any of us what that is?
It's all going to be secret stuff.
You know, I think the goal for us was, you know, this is 20 years of the band.
We really wanted to celebrate, you know, everything that was
and starting in New Jersey, New York, of course, where we really got our roots
going and then, of course, where we're headed in the future.
I think that's what this is all about.
It's also celebrating our fans and everything that they mean to us.
And everything we would expect are excited about for the future.
I like that because it is a gift to the fans.
But it takes me back to when you guys were kids
piling into the van.
I sometimes made it to the venue.
Yeah. And now and not always.
Sometimes it would make it.
But I also take us back to that concert in Miami.
This is before the pandemic, right?
Remember that first night you guys were back in the saddle on the stage.
Do you remember the electricity in that arena that night?
Unreal. It was an incredible feeling to be back.
That was to think that it's already been, what, six years since then is insane.
And it seems like you haven't stopped at all in six years.
We've been pretty busy.
I mean, we've had, I think, as grown men in our 30s,
we just physically have to take breaks.
But we definitely keep things going.
I mean, we're just wrapping up this Christmas movie here in Toronto.
But Disney Plus is really funny.
And we have so many great cameos and actors
a part of this project with us.
And and it's been full on.
I think we we've we both are all three of us have looked at each other at times
and been like, this kind of hurts my body.
I'm not used to even just hopping off a ledge. So
looking back, like I was telling Elvis before, my gosh,
looking at the pictures that you put on your Instagram,
you guys were so little when you first started.
And I'm like, we were there for all of this.
We were there at all these jingle balls when they were backstage.
And it's just so crazy to see how you guys have evolved over the years.
It is. It is wild.
And we posted this video a few days ago on Instagram,
highlighting the last 20 years, saying thank you to our fans.
We wrote a letter as well.
And you see some of these like moments we kept pausing through.
You just you sometimes you forget them.
And then you or you can never escape them
because they're just forever getting tagged in your photos.
But even even on like moments
where it was emotional for us throughout our journey as a band or as brothers,
even though the highest highs and what we got to meet
some incredible people on the way and work with some incredible people.
You know, I think it really just comes
as cliche and cheesy as it may sound, but it comes back to our fans.
And and the fact that they we've seen from their faces at these shows
since the beginning and obviously you guys as well.
Yeah, you guys.
I don't know. You guys can't get other jobs because they keep seeing you.
But we're so grateful.
I'm pretty much stuck.
No, we love it.
And it's nice that there's familiar faces wherever you go on your journey
and your career and and now seeing our fans walk through their lives.
You know, we've we've had people get married, engaged at our shows,
bring their children, their children.
It's just wild experience to see.
Over the last 20 years, when you take a step back and think about it,
is there one thing for each of you that stands out more than the rest?
Well, it's tough to to kind of sum it up.
The one thing I think that,
you know, having our families come to to shows. Yeah.
Now is a really special thing.
This last tour specifically starting at Yankee Stadium.
I don't want to give any big secrets away,
but at Jonas Com, we're making some announcements about
the tour this year, which we're incredibly excited about.
But anytime we play in the New York, New Jersey, Long Island area,
it's really special for us.
But Yankees was special.
There's one more place on our kind of bucket list of places to play.
Then perhaps we'll play this year.
But, you know, I think when we look out and see not only our fans,
but our family shows in this kind of chapter of our life, it's really special.
And of course, all of you guys, of course,
I was hoping you would say it was waiting.
I was waiting patiently for that.
But wait, over the years, what's the one song
that most fans request you guys to sing over and over again?
Well, that's a loaded question there.
There's a few, I think,
you know, there's obviously the fan favorites
like Burning Up and S.O.S. and Year 3000.
But then there's a few that we just have not played in many years.
The first song we ever wrote together is a song called Please Be Mine.
We wrote it in our living room in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
And that song kind of helped establish that this was going to be a band.
At the time, Nick was working on a solo project.
We brought in David Massey and performed for him this song with our dad
helping us with the harmonies.
And David kind of had a meeting with Nick and said,
And it kind of started the journey that we went on.
So Please Be Mine, we don't play it often,
but it's one that kind of set the tone for what the Jonas Brothers would become.
Wow. And look how the music has grown with you over the years.
It's been interesting to watch the evolution of the music
along with the evolution of you and your families.
But back to the question that Gandhi was asking
about those moments that stick out over these 20 years.
What about you, Joe, and you, Kevin?
Did you think of something when she asked you that?
I kind of second Nick's thing about seeing the families now at the shows.
And now, the other day, we were here and having Alina, my oldest,
just come by herself with me to these concerts
and just travel with me overnight and stuff and just hang out.
It's starting to become even more of a family affair.
And it's just awesome.
Yeah, there's quite a few, I think.
Just to name drop, because this is quite fun.
There was we performed at the White House.
How many years ago? This is when when Paul McCartney is being honored.
Yes. Yeah. What year?
Oh, two thousand nine.
There was a time. OK, he's wrong.
Many years ago, we performed honoring Paul McCartney.
And President Obama was in office.
And we just met Paul McCartney for the first Sir.
Paul McCartney for the first time the night before.
He came to our rehearsal and surprised us.
And we're playing. Maybe you can drive my car.
And we're like, Paul McCartney comes over our shoulder.
Like, oh, my God, so we perform for him in a private setting, which is pretty wild.
So the next day was like a meet and greet line.
And there's everyone like Jack White, Elvis Costello.
Incredible people.
We all watched President Obama come on the back lawn in a helicopter to meet us all.
So I'm like in a line.
We're in a line of people saying, hi, President Obama.
Paul McCartney, I mean, like seeing Paul McCartney,
like shaking Paul McCartney's hand with my eyes, looked over to
President Obama because he just got into office.
And then Paul McCartney goes like he clocks that.
I'm not looking at Paul.
And he says, it's pretty cool, right?
You know what I wonder, I'm sure we know the answer.
I bet Paul McCartney still gets blown away at moments, you know, and we all do.
You know, by the way, he's just pure joy.
Jonas Brothers, we're talking about Jonas Kahn,
which is at American Dream here in Jersey, March 23rd.
What's happening that day at American Dream?
I mean, what is it for all of his fans that show up for Jonas Kahn?
What do we see and what are we doing?
So we wanted to create the the most kind of epic day for our fans.
So there's activations,
everything from, you know, an Etsy market
where they can go and find exclusive merch.
They can only get it at Jones Kahn to fireside chats
with people that are kind of relevant to our journey, our life.
You know, obviously, hopefully you guys show up and hang out as well.
And then there's, you know, going to be
a set up by us, a talk by us
to kind of walk through what the year is going to look like,
as well as some other big surprises we can't reveal.
But for, you know, Jonas Brothers fan, I think this can be the most epic day.
And our kind of main passion is always,
especially at this kind of moment in our life and careers,
how do we create moments to really thank our fans and show them that
they not only have, like, carried us through, you know, this
this 20 year journey, which is bizarre to say,
but they're the reason this all happened.
So we want to thank them and just show them some love and, and,
and create something that truly, I think, embodies the, the,
the feeling of a family and connection. And, um,
and of course we're going to play some music and, and have just the best time.
And it's also completely free, which is something that I'm so excited about.
Okay. And of course, all the info is at jonasbrothers.com. I'm assuming.
Yeah. Perfect. Ever heard of it?
Yeah, I've been there. I'm, I'm there daily, sometimes hourly, you know, me.
And by the way, uh,
I love that it's not only about the 20 years that are in the rear view mirror,
but also maybe 20 years ahead of us. I mean,
you're already talking about a tour.
I've heard all sorts of rumors about what you guys have coming up and I'm
excited.
And also the collaborations you've had over the years with the incredible
artists. Like I'm going to play the song with Marshmello and you guys in a
second, slow motion.
And I just want to say on behalf of Z 100 and our morning show, we're so,
so proud that we've,
that we've been sort of lined up with you guys all these years and watching you
do your thing. And it's, it's, it's an incredible show from afar.
And of course, when we're in the same room with you as well.
So congratulations on everything you've done. Okay. Kids,
right back at you. I love you guys. Thanks for all the support over the years.
And you know, here's to 20 more.
Okay. Well,
I'll be, I'll be dead and gone. And I'll be looking,
I'll be looking up at you from below. Anyways, it's, it's Jonas con,
of course, at American dream, Sunday, March 23rd,
all sorts of things going on the day before on Saturday, March 22nd,
everything you need to know and read. It's totally free.
