On Tuesday, DOGE announced that they, along with several other agencies, canceled over 200,000 federal credit cards that were determined to be unneeded or unused. The department said that there were 4.6 million credit cards when they began their audit and that there is "still more work to do."
In February, DOGE reported that these 4.6 million credit cards accounted for $40 billion worth of spending in 90 million separate transactions for the 2024 fiscal year.
