After crossing the river and making it up the muddy hill with the help of a front end loader I began my ride to the waterfall. Right at the beginning of the ride I crash against the side of the road trapping my right foot under the pannier. You can hear me let out a sort of shocked gasp when it happens. I couldn't believe how bad it hurt, and really thought it might be broken. Because it was trapped under the pannier I had a difficult time getting my leg free. Can't wait to read all the comments about how I should be wearing MX boots. Not only would a smart person have been wearing boots, he also would have turned around when he got injured. But I set out that morning to make it to a waterfall, one that I had already defeated me in the past and I wasn't about to give up so early in the day. I soon found out that road became more and more difficult, and would eventually become impassable. Maintaining these dirt roads in the rainy season is an impossible task. Any work crews do to improve them will be washed away that afternoon when the rain comes.
