You want to learn how to bowl from ttwo of the BEST bowlers in the world? Brad and Kyle have been showing behind the scenes footage of the PBA and professional bowling tournaments. We have instructional bowling videos that have helped millions of bowlers level up their games and throw more strikes! You can follow our bowling careers and learn how to hook a bowling ball.
All right, what's going on everyone? We are here in Delaware. It's 2025 and the PBA Tour has
officially kicked off. Right now is the first block of the entire 2025 season. This is a pre-tournament
qualifier. It's called the PTQ. It is a seven-game block that they run before every PBA tournament
for the guys that aren't technically exempt or the new guys coming out of college or the
non-title holders. Okay, so if you're a title holder, if you're in top 43 last year,
I think that's it. You are technically exempt. Tour trials. Top 12 guys on tour trials. You're
technically exempt. You get into the tournament automatically. For those people who aren't,
you have to qualify for it. So there's 65, I think, roughly, people and they're only taking five.
That's the worst we've seen. It's the smallest ratio of people that they've taken in a long time
and that is a very hard cut to make. These are the top bowlers that aren't essentially title holders.
These are the top regional bowlers and just top bowlers in general that aren't title holders. So
to finish fifth out of 65 is a very, very, very, very, very difficult thing to do. And if they make
the left easy, it's very difficult to do, but that's why we got Tim Mack. Just make sure you
get on the carnivore because if you get on the carnivore, you can have diesel pecs like this.
You get muscles. And your rev rate goes up. Start looking good. Yeah, well, you always look good,
but your rev rate goes up like a lot. I need to eat more meat then. My rev rate goes up. So we're
getting started here. Bradley Open Champion. Bradley Open Champion. Feels good to win.
Feels good to win. You're in a good spot. I am. Yeah, it's gonna be good here.
I know, I split. But before we really get into the bowling stuff, we have a giveaway that we're doing
next week. Okay, so we're giving a ball away a day. Ball a day away. Ball away a day. Every day
we're giving away a bowling ball at the US Open next week. So the first major is next week. It's
coming up after this tournament. And we're doing one ball a day. Okay, so you can enter that by
clicking the link below. It's absolutely free. Just enter your email address and then we'll be
able to email the winners. And that's starting next week. So make sure you click the link and
get entered. Okay, so now we got seven games. Pretty easy pattern. A pattern called the bat.
37 foot, lots of urethane and high score. So five out of 65 is already tough. They make the scores
easy. It's very tough. So we need a miracle to get out of this, even on our best day. So let's roll.
Is this thing on? This thing still work, Dennis? Once or twice a year. I feel like we haven't
gotten it out since it's been a while, guys. I mean, we've been on the instructional grind,
but hello vlog. Hello 2025 PBA Tour vlog. And it's good to be back. It's good to be back.
Starting off in Middletown, Delaware. We're watching a little PTQ action with Brad here.
He's bowling good. But you know, I feel like this year is going to be another
interesting year. I don't want to say good. I don't want to say bad. I'm just going to say
there's going to, there's always some peaks and valleys. And I think we're going to expect that
this year. Watching Brad grind the PTQ. 2-12 the first game, urethane, red ball, first game. Now
he went to an Ion Max. Just a little update. It's 2025, January 20th or something like that. And I
still don't have any apparel. We don't even sell merch. No, we do. Go to bradcollet.com. Anyway,
yeah. Switched to an Ion Max. Scores are up there. Especially they're taking five.
Five out of 65. Yeah. There's definitely more than five really good bowlers in this field. So
anyway, we got to, it's a sprint. You got to strike. You got to make decisions quick.
Because like, what are you going to do? Like miss the cut. Like seventh is pretty good, but
it does the same thing as 60. So yeah, you got to be on the, you got to be quick with the changes.
So went to the Ion Max. We'll see a couple of flat tens that we didn't really like. We'd like
to see a little five bagger, but hey, he's throwing a good, we see a couple of big ones. Get us up
there and then let's do some bowling. All right, a little update after two games. Scores aren't as
high as I thought they were initially going to be, but they're still kind of high. And we're the
hydrant, you know, sometimes you're the dog, sometimes you're the hydrant. Those two games,
we were not the dog. A little tight the first game, had a split on a shot. I just didn't,
there's so much hook. So my last couple of tournaments, I bowled the snowman doubles
in Oklahoma, Touregan Snow and then Bradley last week. Both those tournaments involved 50 foot
of oil with no hook spot, literally no hook spot. So you have to like, no matter where you play,
you got to just point the head pin and then make your spare. It's a totally different form of
bowling than what we're going on now. This has so much hook. Like I haven't seen the ball hook
a month almost. I've been like trapping the head pin and if you miss this much, you're missing
the head pin right, like there's no hook. This, if you miss right, you could go Brooklyn. Like
there's that much hook on the lane. And I'm kind of throwing the offer wrong tonight. I just haven't
quite got my angles right, but I'm down and doing a Tension Star S2. It's polished. I should probably
be throwing an Attention Star, but screw it. This one's out here. And it looked better than the
other balls I was throwing, so we're in the hole. We have a lot of ground to make out of the five
somebody. And a troop. And a troop might remember that one too. That's a good hit for me, isn't it?
That's pretty consistent. I should start aiming for it. Yeah, that's how you're trying to knock
them down, right? By the way, I threw that. I thought I was at least going to hit the pocket.
I wasn't close. Yeah? But it's still striking, right? Hey, people can't tell. Okay, exactly.
Looks great on the scoreboard. That's great. And I don't have to throw another shot on that one.
I don't know what I would move. Maybe an arrow, but I don't know. We are four under,
way down there, but if we strike out, we'll be probably in the top 10-ish. Let's just go through
that. So we'll be up there. So we're in game four here, and we are in the bubble gum ball
at this point. And Dennis was just asking, like, why did he go to it? And, you know,
this place is pretty high friction, even though there's a lot of mills on the lane. So, you know,
he shoots a 260 with the S2, attention star S2, the game four. You know, when he's trying to go
really left or right with it, it's just burning up on him. And it's not floating over there.
And then when he does get it to the pocket, he has, like, no energy because, you know,
he's manipulated it so much to get it to the pocket that it's just blah, and it's ragging
tense. So you go to this pin down symmetrical ball that should float through it a little better and
conserve more energy is the idea. Now it's still tricky because, you know, you got to make sure it
doesn't come off of it too hard and all these other factors. And, you know, maybe it's just
a tough pair, which it is a tough pair, but that's why we went to this ball. And since he went to it,
I mean, he went flat 10 strike, seven pin strike. So, you know, four pocket shots,
doing a blind ball change is good. It would have been nice to try to catch a double.
So, but it's better than the seven and eight counts he was leaving. Yeah. Hopefully we still
have it. I mean, he has, uh, two O's game. Back three here would feel really good.
We just finished game six of seven and we're at it. Not doing very good. This will be considered
an expensive practice session, but Hey, at least we get to practice. All right. All right. So here
in my bowl, I don't know if you guys can actually see this. You think they can see the lines?
They can see the lines. You can see the line. Okay. So there's still a lot of lines like that.
Cause the past couple of weekends, there was so much oil and we took two 20 grit surface
and surfaced all of our bowling balls with two 20 grit. Well, today I go in the paddock and I
smash them with a thousand grit on the ball spinner and then put polish over it. And I was
hoping that the thousand grit would like at least get those grooves out, but it wasn't enough. So
a lot of my stuff still has like a lot of grooves and teeth in it from the Brad. However, I did
drill a lot of new stuff before I came out here. We even drilled this bad brand new equinox, but
right now I'm throwing us in 25. This pattern, I'm really testing a lot of them right now
and my game because I spent so long playing straight, hips closed, seeing the lane this way.
And then this pattern is quite literally the opposite. You have to separate it probably as
much as I've seen on tour ever really. I mean, this pattern, there's no holes. I'm literally like
standing up there. My back foot is like this just to get my, just to get my hips open
and I'm like pushing to the left to loop the swing a little bit, just to get inside, to be
able to project it. That it's totally opposite than what I've been used to. So, you know, I was
against the odds a little bit in that. And I'm kind of figuring out what ball to throw with this much
hook because I haven't seen it in a long time. But with that, I'm doing great. You know, my score is not good,
but physically I'm in the right mindset, figuring out what I need to figure out. We have a lot of
bowling left. Like next week's a big week for me. I'm in the U.S. Open. I don't bowl a P2Q or
anything. These majors, there's only so few events, so these majors are important. So next week's a big
week, so I'm continuing to train. I'm going to try and do my best this last game, but whenever I don't
make it tomorrow and the next day, I'm going to practice. I'm going to keep trying out these
bowling balls. I'm going to go to the truck. So we're in good spirits. We're really, really...
I'm happy with where my game is, even though my score is bad, but it's such a long way that
I don't know. I didn't cash. Did you get top 21? No, I didn't. So you did a lot better than me.
But your third alternate? Something like that. So apparently David Nordhaus, him and T-Rob tie
for the last spot. He also did the same thing that Santu did on that pair. Front 8, Brooklyn
in the 9th. Brooklyn in the 9th. The 9th's an important frame. It's a big frame. All right,
well, are you going to practice? Yeah, next week U.S. Open. Might as well. Yeah. Well, I was in
between. It's either nice to throw it like you or it's nice to be a two-hander. It's in the name.
It's nice to be Santu. Yeah, Santu. Man, he's just...
in the entire lane. He was thinking I'm pretty good. He was. Yeah, he's really good at that.
And the guy... Because he looked like he took 18 months. Yeah, I know. And he hasn't bowled in like
18 months. And I just want to say, like, you know, doesn't your thumb hurt or like in the pitch off?
What about a piece of tape? What if I change a piece of tape? Nope. Right back in here, he just
makes the PTQ 18 months off. He said he's never missed one. He's never missed a PTQ. He's never
not made it out of a PTQ. I want to tell you, I think it's the haircut. It's him and Boog, man.
Yeah. Boog probably never missed a PTQ either. What's the correlation between those two guys?
They're really good. Yeah. They're really good. Yep. Good answer. Yeah, this is a lot of hooks.
So they're bowling on Cheetah for the actual tournament. So the next couple of days, Kyle's
in the event will be here. They're bowling on Cheetah, which is a little shorter. 35? 35.
We bowled on a lot of mills, right? A lot of mills. 30 something? And we didn't. We didn't
bowl on a whole lot of mills there. 20 now? 29, so less mills. Yeah. So a little bit shorter
pattern. You're going to see a lot of urethane. You're going to see this level. You're going to
see a lot of strikes. And then B-Milly over here is going to be practicing. So we're going to come
in a while and we're going to stand here. We're going to throw it as far right until it just
going in the gutter. And then we'll realize like, okay, our angles are close. If it's going in the
gutter, the angles are close. It was going that direction. It was good. Just throw urethane or
reactive? I threw urethane for three and then reactive for four. All right. So that's it.
That's the vlog. PTQ. It's honestly, it sucks to not make it, but top one third got their money
back. I'm not in there, but it's better to be exposed early and figure out what I need to work
on rather than having a little bit of success here on like an easier pattern and then being
exposed in a major or something. So obviously I wasn't great at opening my angles, but it's good
that it happened now because I can just come in the next days and practice. So a lot better to
think about it that way than just thinking, ah, bad start. Oh, we're behind. Oh, people are getting
points. Like it doesn't, none of that matters. You just got to bowl the best you can and then
things will work out. So anyway, we have the giveaway. Make sure you click the link in the
giveaway. Seven balls starting the first day of the US Open. So get in there, click the link below,
absolutely free. And we appreciate you guys. We love you. We'll see.
