Goal After 26 Seconds! | Borussia Dortmund - Bayer 04 Leverkusen | Highlights | MD 16 – BuLi 24/25

Dortmund unbeaten at home in the league this season. Leverkusen unbeaten away in the top flight since May 2023. I'm your match commentator Kevin Hatchard alongside the former. Oh what an opportunity and what a goal. 27 seconds. Ethan Teller has smashed Leverkusen in front. A nightmare start for Dortmund. So that early goal it's not easy to come back but wait a moment. It's a storming run and a great cross and there's another one. Patrick Schick continues his incredible run. 13 goals in his last 11. Gerasti. Dortmund need to get him involved. Giancotto and he might fall for Gittins here. What an incredible game this is and what an incredible young man he is. Jamie Gittins with his 10th competitive goal of the campaign. Now they work it to Frimpol. Players giving up at that far post. They've got another one and there's no stopping Patrick Schick. Four goals in his last Bundesliga game. Two already here and that's the mark of champions. That's one for Dortmund to seize upon. They've done really well here. It's a nice turn by Gerasti and the deflection made it really awkward. Gittins couldn't quite get there ahead of Mukiele and here's Frimpol turning on the turbos. Schick in support. Still going here. Frimpol. He went for goal himself. Challenging in the air. Neither the best in the air in truth. Here's Brandt. Zoomed up for him. Julian Brandt away by Tarr. Aliyemi felt he was pushed but he carries on going and beaten away by Hrodetsky and then he's... Lukasz Hrodetsky with goalkeeping heroics once again. Referee says there's no case to answer and Giancotto will bring it forward here. Bayer. Early ball to Brandt. Aliyemi. Hit it well but straight down the throat of Lukasz Hrodetsky. Seven in each column over the course of the league season. Seven goals and he's set up a further seven. Well that's played in cleverly and here's Frimpol. Schick. The hat-trick was there to be had. Found himself surplus to requirements in the French capital. Worked this really well but he got underneath it. Alex Grimaldo. I think he'd be disappointed having got that on his left foot. That's one for Duranville to chase and again taps over in total control of that situation all the way through. But it's that arm, that forearm in the face. Is that enough? But he's in front to cover the goalkeeper. Is that enough for a penalty? All eyes on Tobias Stieler. What's the decision? Penalty is the decision. Game on. Seru Girassi reduces the arrears and suddenly the spark of hope appears for Borussia Dortmund. And Leverkusen it's fair to say are not in a rush and the champions mean business. They have started 2025 by becoming the first team in the Bundesliga this season to beat Borussia Dortmund in Dortmund. Dortmund depleted by illness.
