Trump to Double Tariffs on Canadian Metals to 50% | Business Matters (Mar. 11)

President Trump announced new tariff measures this morning. He doubled his planned 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum products coming from Canada, bringing the total to 50%. In a Truth Social post, Trump said he instructed his commerce secretary to add the additional 25% tariff. The new tariffs will go into effect tomorrow morning.
