The Acropolis of Athens - The Masterpiece of Classical Greece | Treasures of the World

UNESCO has declared the Acropolis of Athens a "Heritage of Humanity." Few ancient structures could be more deserving of this title.

Pericles, a prominent statesman of antiquity, was determined to make this sacred citadel the most magnificent in all of Greece. He entrusted the construction to the renowned artist Phidias, the most famous sculptor of the ancient world.

Using special effects, the video attempts to reconstruct the destroyed sections of the site.
