Good morning y'all, Jason. Of course y'all just saw Miss Holly over here at Cog Hill Farm. Brooke
is already in the barn. She got here before I did this morning. As you guys know we have a new
member here on the farm and that is Miss Tater and it has been four days since she's been here
and so some things have changed up since she's here now and a little routine change but also
I want to show everybody how Tater is adjusting. She's out there waiting. Is she out there waiting?
I peeked out the door. We haven't fed yet. Yeah. But I peeked out there because the last
the few mornings that she's been here. Yeah. She hasn't figured out the routine.
Moody and Mildred will be over here waiting on their food while Tater's out in the field you
this morning. This morning. She's waiting. She's got it figured out.
Oh Tater Tot. Got it figured out. Well it's official though. I will say this. It is official.
Y'all hear Tater? She's talking up a storm but it is official. I believe this is Peach's
new bedroom over here. I think so too. She is. She's made it quite clear that she prefers this
side for whatever reason. Who knows. Who knows. Maybe she just wanted a change. Maybe so. I don't
know. She's a smart girl. She is. There's a reason why. Go figure. Well good morning to you guys.
I will say so far the metal zip ties or the metal straps are holding up to Big Moo Man right there.
So that is absolutely working. No issues on the trough since then. But I need to go get Tater's
buckets. Tater what's your buckets doing? Why don't you bring them to me? Bring them to me girl.
Yeah. Let's go around there and get our buckets. But y'all so far this group of bovine are getting
along extremely well. Mildred was a little unsure of Tater when she first got here but now
not anymore. They're all pretty good buddies. All right Tater Tot. There's one bucket. You doing
okay girl? You doing okay? There's two buckets. I see you Big Daddy. I see you Big Daddy.
What's she doing? Waiting on her food. She knows the routine.
The donkeys do too don't they? And I will say this too. Eminem, Mildred, and Moody have
been great. Absolutely great. There has been zero drama. Zero static. Nothing. I mean nothing
has happened. They're all getting along extremely well.
This is what happens when they get down to the bottom of the barrel right here.
Bottom of the barrel. Had to get my head all the way down in there. You was down low in there
wasn't you? It's time to eat. I'm coming. I'm coming. All right let's go. You know what I do
will make things better? What? Another trough. We were kind of holding up on the other trough
to make sure everything was going to go right and they all got along and there wasn't going to be
any issues and yeah that's there's not going to be any issues here whatsoever. All right Brooke's
going to Brooke's going to take care of Eminem and then I'm going to get Tater on this side
because we're mixing tater's feed up 50-50. Come here tater bug. See this is where the
confusing comes in. Yeah. So I think if there's two troughs it'll fix that. Moody said he's ready.
There you go baby. There you go baby. Oh sweet girl. Oh sweet tater bug.
Yeah definitely going to need another trough. Do they got one smaller than that one or is that all
same? They have one that's half this size. Yeah. But uh you know what's going to happen.
Hey you're right and they're probably getting $20 difference. It's not. Yeah that's what I
figured. I turned the fence back on. Oh I didn't know you had it off. I was still dodging it.
Well I turned it off because when I go over the top I don't want to take a chance. You don't want
Jesse is totally supervising this whole situation. I just spoke to Honey. Honey waits on the babies
to come out. And you can see I don't know if y'all well y'all look right here. I talk about a cow
laying down chewing its cud in there in total relaxation mode but look at Honey. Look at her
head. Look at her eyes. Look at her ears and look at that back foot right there. How it's how she's
got it on her tiptoe like that. That is a donkey or horse is the same way. I'm sure mules are too
but I haven't ever owned a mule. But when a donkey or horse does that they are in zen mode.
Almost like meditation. I mean she is totally relaxed right now. Tater finished. That worked
out good though because they're all just about done. Look at Moody being a good man sharing
and Tater's going to get some leftovers too. Yep. So we thought. He's like this is
mine and Mildred's trough Tater. You've already had your breakfast this morning. You're going to
get your own trough. The Tater trough. The Tater trough. And that's another reason we need a trough.
See that? Yeah. Somebody's got to go in there and get that every single day. Yeah and it depends on
where they take it. Oh yeah. The other day I thought I could reach it. Watch this. Watch what they do.
What they gonna do? They go far as they can go that way. Really? Look there they go. Back in
Nugget's pasture. Look at them running. They do that every single day. I mean they're already
through the gate on this pasture and ran all the way over there to that pasture. That's their
routine. Hey babies. And what these guys gonna do? Oh they just slow. They don't do anything fast.
They're not like the kids. There's nothing in there buddy.
Not like the kids at all. Well Pear's in the lead. Top's like why y'all running? No need to run is it
Tipper? No no no. No need to run at all. You guys are doing wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.
And beautiful to boot. I know what this means. What? You're gonna want another cow.
I didn't say anything about another cow. I just said make sure that you get a big trough.
I'm just teasing. You never know. I'm just teasing.
There you go ma'am.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh goodness.
Yeah. But I wanted to let you guys know that all is well with Tater, Mildred, Moody,
the whole bovine crew. They're all doing wonderful. No issues at all. And we couldn't be more happy.
We could not be more happy. And we feel like that they are also happy as well. They certainly seem
like it. Also while I'm over here. Look what I got. So let's see. Here it is. All right.
So I did get the carburetor kit. And I got my new fuel line. This is for Granddaddy's
tractor. And come on. Let's go here. Let me show y'all. Also. Also. We got
the new gas tank. And I'm about to start working on Granddaddy's tractor. I think the first thing
I want to do is replace the gas tank. And just kind of clean the fuel system back out again.
And see if that may or may not fix the problem. Because it is ate up with rust. Now I did get a
lot of great information from you guys about how to remove the rust and clean the rust out
of this gas tank. But I had. Y'all I had spent so much time and honestly
wasted a lot of money on paint thinner. On gas. And my time too. Trying to get the rust out of
the tank in the Volkswagen bus. When I ended up buying a new tank anyways. And that just
stuck in my mind. And y'all this gas tank was basically a hundred dollars. And I thought by
the time you know I start draining fuel in and out of this thing. Cleaning it out. Possibly resealing
it. And the time it takes to do that. And that may or may not fix my issue. I went ahead and got a
new gas tank. So we'll start working on this. I have to start watching some videos and reading
on how to take this all off. It looks fairly simple. But I will say this. This thing right
here. This whole upper half of this tractor has got to come off. This is basically the hood. It
has got this right here. Where you can get to the gas tank and the battery. It's got a little toolbox
in there. But to get to the gas or get the gas tank out. I have to take this whole top half off
this tractor. And y'all this tractor is built in the 30s. This isn't no composite plastic.
This isn't aluminum. This isn't the type of steel and metal they use on tractors today.
This thing is solid. And I'm not quite for sure how much it weighs.
I mean it's not going to weigh like a thousand pounds or anything. But
I got to figure out a way to get this off. But I'm going to watch some videos. So I'm sure I'm
going to get some tips. But how to get this off without you know it slamming or falling over some
kind of way. I thought about putting. If it's heavy as I think it is. Thinking about putting maybe a
chain on here. And taking the the tractor bucket and lifting it off if I have to. But we'll see.
And it may not be that heavy. But I got a feeling it's heavier than what I think. This is grade A
American steel right here from back in the day. They don't make it like that no more. I can tell
you. Let's go take care of this whole feeding trough situation for the cows.
I think they're gonna be out in the back. Lines are going aren't they?
They need to be painted. I see one over here too. You are a little off.
They're straight across. Two different models. Two different brands? Yeah two different brands.
I see that one for sure. They only have like one.
This isn't tarter is it? This is the other one. Right here. Oh oh. No I'm wrong. This one didn't
show up. Man that one's super nice isn't it? How do you keep water from it? It's got holes in it.
See on the side? They're 15% off. No they ain't. November 3rd. What's today?
November 3rd. Well we're 15% off. So it'll be that one too. Yeah it'll be that one too.
We decided to go with the all steel one. We just think it'd be better
in the long run for sure. And since they're on sale it's really a big price difference break
between this one and the plastic one. So we're gonna go with all steel this time. All right let's
get this. Let's get this big boy loaded. I wonder if this big boy's heavy. I picked up on it. It's
I mean it's not super heavy. It's not super heavy but it's not light either. Does that make sense?
Is it moody heavy? Yeah nothing's moody heavy.
I was just telling Brooke it seems like the last couple of years that we've made any type of large
purchase from the farm store here it's always been on sale. So this sale went off today and it
was for livestock feeders. That's what we went for. That's what we went for and I'm like Brooke we
wouldn't have bought the all metal one probably if it hadn't been on sale. That was $50 off. That's a lot.
That's a lot of money. Then I was just saying when we when we built our fence the wooden post
were on sale or fence supplies were on sale that day. Yeah and we didn't plan it that way. We did
not plan it that way at all. Then when we bought our gates they were on sale so ended up I think we
ended up buying all of them. We did. You know so we'd have them so we built the when we built the
fencing for the pastures we had all the gates even though we just had them stored up and it just
just crazy it seems like it's just worked out that way. We're being looked after. I get so good. Thank you.
You got it strapped. I got it strapped.
Is it heavier? It's pretty heavy. I mean it's not I say that it's not like a thousand pounds.
You got it? You need to regroup. You sure? All right set that end down.
Dee Dee the cow dog. What are you doing cow dog? Come here big girl that's a brush. Look what you
think about that? Huh? What you think about that? Let's see here. I brought this one too. I didn't know
if she may like it or not. She says she wants some food. Tater you've already eaten for the day girl.
We about need to pick up some pie. Yeah we got an extra cow in here. I mean it's extra extra compost.
Oh my goodness and a big mouth you have. Tater. Get all up in there. Yeah does that feel good?
Yeah. Oh goodness that feels good. Oh you look beautiful. What you think about the new trough?
I think she wants to try it out this evening. She said why wait till in the morning?
He's trying to wet us isn't he? Go on get you some of it girl. Go on get you some of it.
She couldn't wait no longer. That's all right. Oh baby you get thirsty. You get thirsty.
Yeah you get thirsty. You get thirsty. Yeah she's clean. I mean a solid white cow. I mean look at her.
You don't have a blemish on her. I mean clean. Maybe she went to the cow wash. Maybe so.
You do that girl. Well that certainly didn't bathe you. My hands are dirty but they're not filthy.
Yeah. See I know that Moo Man hates the bug spray. I don't know if it's the sound or what he can't
stand it. So I'm gonna try a little trick here and put some fly spray on his brush and see if he'll
let me brush him. Since you've already tried to put fly spray on him he might not. Let's see. Let's see what he does.
Come here buddy. Come here. I don't have anything. We're good. We're good. See. Now.
Foodie if you get any taller I'm going to have to get me a ladder buddy. You know what? I'm gonna have to get me a ladder.
Now. Now. How's that? I do have to stand on my tiptoes. You are? To reach his back I do.
That ain't no joke. Let's see baby. Now. Can you back it up? Now. All right big man. Y'all need some
backup alarm. Now. There you go. What you think about that? That one's not quite as tall. That one's
scary stuff in there. That one's not quite as tall as a Mooman. No. Yeah Moody's approving it though.
So what are you gonna do Moody? Are you gonna swap to this one and let the girls have that one?
That's what you ought to do Moody. Have your own personal trough sir. That would be awesome. I'll
put your name on the side of it right here. Mooman. Mooman's trough. Tater said no. Did you hear?
Well y'all. As you can see. Oh Tater Tot. Tater Bug. Tay Tay. She's doing. She's doing just fine.
And everybody's getting along well. Everybody. Mooman. You are a gentleman. I'm just gonna
gonna tell you that. As if you don't know. Love you buddy. All right Mildred. Y'all have a good
evening. See you guys in the morning baby. The true test is gonna be in the morning when we feed
and use that new feeder. That's right. Let's see what Moody does. I'm looking at the weather
because the sky is kind of kind of dark over there right behind us. Yeah it is. There's one drop in
the whole state of Alabama. I don't. And it's real windy. It's been windy all day. And that drop's
not near us. I don't think we're gonna get any. No need to seek shelter boys and girls.
All right Skipper Tipper. You take it easy buddy.
